Spoilers Spider-man 3(take 2) Anticipation thread

I'm really lukewarm on this, although I'm looking forward to Andrew Garfield's return.

I have almost the same, except instead of Andrew Garfield I am looking forward to see Tobey Maguire as Spiderman again. I only hope that he doesn't die, what I expect.

Interesting, because never really liked Tobey's Spiderman all that much. The movies were entertaning but never really enjoyed his take on the character. I enjoyed Garfield's a bit more, but his movies have less re-watch value for me. I still think I enjoy Tom Holland's Spider-Man the most.

My mash up is Tom Holland and Emma Stone in the 2002 movie with webshooters and the classic comics ending. Zendaya as MJ. Basically, the original three movies, but No Venom. Rather the Lizard story from Amazing Spider-Man and Keaton's Vulure.

Maguire will be a welcome return as the far-and-away best live-action Parker/Spider-Man. I'm not sure if any of the SMs die, but I would prefer Garfield's who bites the dust, since I always considered his to be a very poor version of the character.

Didn't anybody else think it was really weird in the trailer when:

Strange just agreed to mess with the multiverse and then ignored Peter's pleas to stop the spell?
Strange is setting up a magickal VR cautionary tale to warn Peter of the consequences of "One More Day"-type choices.

Not a surprise. I figured it was going to do that considering all of the rumors and anticipation for the film. Nostalgia is a powerful drug.

Plus, most people at least like Spider-Man in general.

It's going to be a long few years as movie studios beat the dead horse for nostalgia

-Keaton Batman
-3 of the original Jurassic Park characters

I've seen ploys before but this really takes the cake

He can die, as long as:
1) He gives MCU Peter the legendary line "With great power comes great responsibility," and...
2) While he's his universe's Peter, MCU Peter recognizes his face... as that of his late Uncle Ben.

Bigger MCU theater movie cheer. Captain America with Mjolnir or when/if Tobey Maguire first appears in No Way Home?

My one wish for Andrew Garfield's Spider-Man is that he be allowed to play the role closer to his own age, a mid-thirties Peter Parker, maybe working for Horizon Labs on his Earth or teaching high school science. (Personally, I like Garfield's Spider-Man, but he was a decade too old for the way the role was designed in his films.) What happens after that I hope makes sense in-story.

Does anyone know if we will see Peter Porker?

Why not? :)
