I once got the Death Stare of Doom (tm) from a female friend of mine ages ago when i said that Keanu can't act

Still have that opinion.. he's merely decent but a contender for an Oscar or any other big award he's not. However he still starred in some of my favorite movies (Matrix, Point Break) so it's all ok.

I'm not having a go at you Agent Richard07, or anyone else who say it, but I never get when people say films look "dated."
So Speed for example looks like it was made in the 90s? Well probably because I believe it was.
I heard someone say The Matrix looked a bit dated because they have big cell phones. Well that's because it came out in 1999, what do you want, them to all have iPads etc.

It just gets you sometimes because you remember how you felt when you first saw it. Sure it makes sense objectively but sometimes it still catches me off-guard (I call it getting old lol). Especially summer blockbusters that felt so fresh originally.

Works the other way sometimes as well, I saw the Blues Brothers in HD a few weeks back and couldn't believe how great it looked.
