I wonder why Tilly would only be a visiting instructor, she's an Academy professor and will be for another 30 years or so, so I wonder where she's stationed for the majority of the time.
At another campus could be a reasonable explanation.
I'm thinking she's still at the (DICSO) SFHQ campus.
"300th Night" a spin on the 12th Night by Shakespeare with all sorts of mistaken identity hijinks.

It would make sense the 2 are both running in parallel for a time. There are no senior cadets at SASF from what I can tell. Not sure how far apart the two are, I bet there will be exposition for it in the episode. It still leaves the way open for Mary to join the cast for future seasons.
Though I am resigned to the likelihood we aren't getting a Season 3. Which is a shame for this wonderful cast and crew.
6 is apparently an Ake backstory episode - I wonder if the ship concerned is the ISS Enterprise. A quick look suggests that SNW was not filming during the first season filming of SFA
I don't believe it is, it appears to be an athena bridge redress.
If that one shot in one of the trailers is from that episode.

It does also list characters called N'Dowu Skra and Tomov so we may get expansion to the ranks of the Venari Ral - maybe the Furie is just the name of the Venari Ral ship that Nus Braka commands?

I wonder if our earlier guess may be correct and Momma Mir is revealed as the new enemy?
Entirely possible that it could be NPC crew from Braka's ship. But the hint of a new enemy is what is making think that Braka is the one who Ake goes to for help.

Are we talking the aliens from the Invasion novel series? If so, that would indeed be quite the deep cut.
