Speculation: The Title Of Star Trek XI

Ok, obviously XI probably isn't going to hold up as the movie approaches release; Hell, technically, there never were any Star Treks 7, 8, 9, or 10; And nobody ever went in for Star Trek The Next Generation The Motion Picture or Star Trek The Next Generation II First Contact. Now knowing very little about the plot details, it may still be too early to start guessing, but at the same time it might be fun, especialy for the more cynical and sarcastic among us, to speculate before it's set in stone.

My guess would be that they may just leave it as 'Star Trek'.

Welcome to the forums, Ensign Ricky. I think you'll find that that's the general consensus around here, and, despite some hints from the producers of "Star Trek Zero", it seems to be the way the producers are leaning, too. So, yeah, you're pretty much--

Wait. You're a Lieutenant Commander? And you weren't aware of previous discussion on this? Or are you just trying to resurrect discussion to prompt more speculation? Or possibly jokes, because people are hilarious when they get on this topic?

I started out this post trying to be helpful, and now I am merely confused.

Last I checked the title of the film is confirmed to be just 'Star Trek'.

I haven't heard official confirmation of it, even though everyone has been talking about it as if it's been confirmed. Am I wrong?

Heh, no I've been around for a short while. I was wondering if this topic had come up already, it seems like a pretty obvious one, I just never saw a thread for it. And thank you, it's good to be here

Russell t davies has been contacted to fix XI so now it will be called

"Star Trek- The impossible planet of death"

The movie will end with an entire cgi army of Romulans.

Nah it will actually be called "Star Trek- electric rollerskate bugalow"

It's been stated in interviews and, of course, in the teaser that the name of the movie is just plain old Star Trek. Which is fine with me. I'm just curious what any future film based on this one will be. We'll probably never see roman numerals again. Hopefully they'll go the route of the James Bond films.

Then again, with the infamous track record of odd numbered movies, maybe they'll call it 'Star Trek 12'. Though personaly, I think they broke that curse with Nemesis.
