Species 8472 communications question

I remember that Kes could understand Species 8472 because she was telepathic. But was it established that 8472 (as Species 8472 -- not when they were engineered into humans for "In the Flesh") could communicate with non-telepathics? Maybe by projecting thoughts into their minds anyway?

No, they can't.

The only ones that could "hear" them in their natural from were telepaths, like Kes or Tuvok. I do think Kes was more affected by them because she was a way more powerful telepath than Tuvok too.

I don't think they can either. They can only communicate with other telepaths, at least that's what I gathered from what was shown on screen.
