Space opera on TV :(

People recommend it because it is the only good anime.

Well that's handy - now I know I don't like any anime.

Don't write off the whole medium just because you don't like Cowboy Bebop for example and everyone says it's the best anime.

Gimmee something else to try and I'll risk wasting another Netflix rental. But be warned, if I turn that off after 15 minutes, I'm not listening to any more advice. Even Netflix rentals cost something!
