'South Park'

An excellent conclusion to an excellent two parter. The revelation of Cartman's father was SO much better than anything I was thinking of! Brilliant!

I hadn't seen an episode since season 11, but I checked out this two parter and damn it was epic. Shame about the bleeping though, it kinda works as a joke until you realize it wasn't a joke and then the speech at the end is completely censored.

Everyone lied about that because the father was a Bronco and they were having a really good season and couldn't take the bad press.

So what are the odds of some enterprising soul getting ahold of this ep and re-inserting all the bleeped out voiceover or their versions thereof? Let teh internets pass it around. They can't kill us all. :rommie:

So the end speech was censored by Comedy Central and not Matt and Trey.

F&%k you Comedy Central. What a bunch of spineless losers.

Yeah, The Daily Show did their opening segment on the whole thing... and he told the extremists to go fuck themselves in gospel choir fashion.

It fascinates me how crazy organized religions become over time.

It's gone from basically "believers not being allowed to depict Muhammad" to "NO ONE is allowed to depict Muhammad." Medieval Christians flipped out the same way with the "You shall have no god before me," and I look forward to rolling my eyes when, I don't know, the Jews flip out over "Remember the Sabbath and keep it holy."

I hate organized religion so damn much. You following your beliefs is one thing, but going crazy because someone else doesn't is... crazy. No matter what religion it is.

You know what Matt and Trey should start doing? Secretly put Muhammad into every episode from here on out. Like a Where's Waldo.

The muhammed bear suit reminds me of this...
I suspect that's why they chose the bear suit for Muhammad. :)

I blogged about the controversy this morning.
What was up with the Admiral Ackbar photo?
Mockery, honestly. Though, really, George Lucas started it; "ackbar" means "great" in Arabic, as I understand it. As Kimi3013 notes, "Allahu ackbar" means "God is great."

I'm not sure where I found that photoshopped image of Ackbar on the Hajj, but I liked it. :)
