As a complete newbie to forum posts I thought Star Trek would be a great start. I was chuffed on seeing the opening scenes of ST XI, to hear that sound effect when you (usually) see an exterior shot of a Starship. I am referring to a sound I describe as similar to a navigation or almost a sonar beacon. A kind of extended "ping" or "beep". Does anyone recognize this sound and particularly, does anyone know if it is available as a download? Either MP3, 4 or Wav. Any thoughts/help much appreciated.
