Soong and Mark Twain also?

Did one of the Soongs make it back to the 1800's and help Mark Twain?

I was watching History's Lost and Found and they were talking about the book Uncle Tom's Cabin and the manuscript. Eventually part of it landed in the hands of Rev Joseph Twitchell. They then flashed an image of Rev Twitchell on the screen. The jig is up.

So I have to wonder, 20 years after Time's Arrow, am I just getting the link? Did the writers know about the similarity?

Or is it just me?

That's a pretty good similarity. I doubt the writers knew it. But it's cool anyway.

His great great waay down the line decendants would be named Soong. Thats all it is. That and Mr Clements took one look at him, and thought, hey, he looks familiar, and started to talk to him, thus history as we know it.
