Sonic Screwdriver controller coming to Wii

Good news for budding Doctors: there will be a sonic screwdriver-style remote out in time for upcoming Wii title Doctor Who: Return to Earth.

Hopefully that controller will be usable on North American Wiis, unlike the actual game.

I wonder if these will ever make it to the US? I think the DS can play import titles but I don't think an unmodified Wii will.

WTF?? I still don't understand why US versions of the Wii won't play this.. I mean, I get that it doesn't, but WHY would they do this?

I may have to get the DS version if that will play.. My son love DW, and he'd get a kick out of the game.

You'll be able to use the Sonic Screwdriver Wiimote on a US Wii; accessories are interchangeable where the games themselves are not.

Even though I don't have a Wii, I'm likely to import the Sonic Wiimote.
