Something weird happened to me at work...

I'll start off by saying that i work the night shift at a Super 8 Motel.

The last couple of months, I've been hearing what i refer to as a "giggling girl". Which is just that, I hear a girl giggling, but there is never any females around when I hear it. I don't hear her every day, maybe once a week. I have mentioned it to some of the other people who work with me, and nobody else has heard it, except for the girl who works the night shift on my days off, and she only heard it once and didn't think anything of it until I mentioned that I'd been hearing it.

Last week is where it gets weirder. I was in the back room doing something and a pile of sheets just flew off the shelf onto the floor. I just figured they were stacked unevenly, but a few seconds after it happened I heard the giggling again. Then the day after, I came to work and somehow blacked out for 4 hours of my shift. I remember the first hour and a half of my shift, up until I was doing the audit. Next thing I remember is it's 4:30 in the morning and I'm standing outside having a cigarette. Audit was done, breakfast was put out, hell even a couple of people had been checked out, which means I didn't fall asleep or anything.

Hasn't happened since, haven't heard the giggling girl since. LOL!!! I think I'm going nuts or something.

I've been to the doctor and they don't think anything is wwrong with me. hmmmm

Sounds like you have a slow gas leak or something similar in your office - see if anyone else has any unusual symptoms (they may not present as the same hallucination or blacking out)

As cool as it would be for a supernatural appearance, check out a gas leak first just to be sure

Make *sure* your managers know and if there's a security tape, see about watching it. Especially if it's not a digital recording since tapes often get recorded over. I know you said you saw your Dr. but this doesn't sound like a blackout since you were apparently fully functional during the period. Have you been under an inordinate amount of stress lately? It sounds sort of like a fugue state.

Sounds a bit like highway hypnosis to me.

I would get that sometimes when I did factory work. I would fall into a trance, and then fall out, realizing that I couldn't remember the last hour or two hours.

But that was doing repetitive, mechanical tasks.

However this one turns out I would love to know the reason. A haunting would be much cooler than a gas leak though.

I used to have terrible hallucinations and black outs for days, i used to hear footsteps behind me all the time, and some times i'd go out with my squad and i'd be in the transport and the next thing I knew i'd be in my rack or the showers, my buddies told me i'd be like a machine on those days

No stress, either, at the moment.

And nobody's died in the hotel ever. Although, I'm still digging around trying to find out what was there before the hotel was. (yes, I'm exploring the ghost angle, as well. lol)

Considering how many people in the history of the human race have died I would be surprised if there was a lot of land that didn't have someone buried there.
