Something of a gift!

Fellow writers, readers and friends I've made along the way,

Life has a habit, it seems, of kicking a man when he's down. Unfortunately it would appear it was my turn to be kicked. Having suffered for a long time with back issues, eventually aggravated by an accident at work, the government agency I worked for has made me redundant.

At the ripe old age of 52 and in the current world economic and employment slump, this has hit me quite hard as you can imagine.

While I refuse to "go quietly into that dark night" etc etc, my output (as you'll have noticed) is substantially decreased while I try and get my head round things.

My woprk is not abandoned, merely throttled back.

Thanks for your continued support guys.

Now that you don't have to worry about such pesky distractions as going to work everyday you should have plenty of time on your hand to write.

Kidding aside, you look after yourself and your own first and get back to writing when things have settled down. I know this can be tough, so best of luck to you and hopefully everything will work out alright.

Many thanks CeJay. I need to write as it's therapeutic at the same time as being cathartic. Your good wishes mean a lot mate.

I'll be back....
