Something From Every Trek

Voyager: Tuvok's startlingly handsome Romulan cousin.

I have yet to figure out why they didn't just grab Tim Russ for that part. It's not like the fans would have even blinked. Tim is cross-incarnation staple by now.

1 The Shuttle trip and reveal of the Enterprise (albeit 100x better and faster)
2 Ear slughs
3 Other Starfleet Captain/ships killed/destroyed
4 The rock song and time travel
5 Head BANG
6 "If you eliminate the impossible..."
7 TOS actor in film with new cast
8 Time travel
9 Boobs
10 "Outcast" Romulan is the main villain
Ent- Porthos\Archer
Tng- Spock as an ambassador
DS9-Cardassian Sunrise
Voy-???

Robau getting pwned -- represents every other starship captain in command of other unfortunate ships not named Enterprise (with the exception of Excelsior and Voyager, of course). -- RR

However, unlike all those other captains of Trek who don't command an Enterprise, Robau is actually competant.

Star Trek III also featured the destruction of a planet. Also, Vulcan was featured rather heavily in TSFS.

Admiral Archer's prize beagle (ENT)
The NCC-1701-D on the escape pod (TNG)
Cardassian sunrise (DS9)
Use of holograms and, while non-canon, Borg tech used in the Narada (VOY)

Maybe Tim doesn't want to be part of Star Trek any more, and having him in the movie would have been foolish, IMHO.

BTW, here's one that everybody forgot about: In the Jellyfish ship, the shape of the triangular chair against the round silhouette of the windshield makes a shape that looks distinctly like the Vulcan Science Academy symbol.

Isn't that the IDIC logo? If that's the case, I don't know if it would necessarily count for this thread, since the symbol's been in all of Trek just like the Starfleet and Federation logos.
