That is super news. I'm just curious. Where/how did you find out about this sale? I looked on Amazon and the ones I checked all showed the $3.99 price but none of them mentioned being on sale or mentioned a limited-time or end date. Thanks for the info. - Byron
Awesome! Unfortunately I already own all of these! In fact I just bought "Stitch in Time" a week ago (and it was fantastic, highly recommended)! I would love to see S&S continue to lower prices on Trek, especially some of the older novels.
Personally, I don't care for the children's/young adult series but for those interested, two Abramverse Starfleet Academy ebooks, Edge and Delta Anomaly, are also available. - Byron
Thanks for sharing this. he only one of those I don't have in Entropy Effect, but that's one I've been wanting, but it's one I've been wanting so I might take advantage of this and get it.
No idea. All I know is that the prices of the books have risen again on Simon & Schuster's site. I checked one or two books a few days ago when I first saw the link on Twitter and the price was $3.99, now they're back to their normal prices.
I picked up 12 of the titles from the list in the opening post earlier today on Amazon, and they were all listed at $3.99. They still seem to be from the ones I've looked up just now.
Thanks! I picked up most or all of the ones I don't own from B&N. (Need to double-check whether or not I own Entropy Effect as an ebook yet.) Hopefully S&S sees a good response to this and does it more often.
Just bought The Entropy Effect, which I've been wanting to read for ages. A lot of the other older ('80s-'90s) books are $5.99 on B&N, is that the regular price or did they mark them down too?
Kobo also has them on sale. I also noticed that a lot of the older books are $8.99. Does anyone know why they're more expensive than new releases?
I haven't noticed that - it looks to me like the older stuff is still $5.99 - $7.99. Have any examples? (That said: stuff that's in-print they try to keep in sync with the print version prices. Out-of-print, they might tie to the "current typical mass-market book" price instead; that's gone up to $8.99 for S&S's Blizzard novels, and I expect the Trek ones to follow suit soon too.)
That makes a lot of sense. It seems to be a lot of books from the late 90's, although there's quite a few I remember from the 80's in there too.
