Apologies if this has a thread elsewhere, but given the Who connection I thought I'd post it.

Graham Crowden who was in Horns of the Nimon has died :(

I never realised he had the chance to be the 4th Doctor. Have to admit my greatest exposure to him was in A Very Perculiar Practise, which obviously starred a certain Peter Davison.

Anyway linky

Never heard of him on this side of the pond. However, like any and all Who actors, I hope nothing but peace for his family. RIP Mr. Crowden...

Crowden was pretty well known as a veteran British actor. He'd done plays & movies, but particularly a lot of tv work since the late 1950's.

Apparently his most famous role was in the tv series Waiting for God (which I have not seen).

Anyway, in the name of the second Skonnon Empire, RIP Soldeed.

Waiting for God is damn funny TV. Catch it if BBCA or your local PBS station ever run it.

Also co-starred with Peter Davison and David Troughton in the superb A Very Peculiar Practice.

On the basis of his death scene in Nimon, expect to hear suppressed laughter coming from the coffin at the funeral ;-)

Waiting for God and A Very Peculiar Practise are both alternative tv in some ways and I enjoyed them both immensley. RIP, Mr Crowden.

^ Agree with this totally. AVPP made me boggle occasionally, very funny.

I knew him better for the large number of guest roles he did in the last decade, like Midsomer Murders, The Lost Prince and Foyle's War. He was also the voice of Mustrum Ridcully in the cartoon version of Soul Music.

A talented and funny man, he'll be missed.
