So who is your favorite cop?

The one and only detective John Munch.

I'm a big Munch fan myself. It's really cool watching him in the Homicide re-runs. He is really good in "the box". Almost as good as Frank. ;)

I gotta second both Frank and Munch. But especially Frank.

"Okay, here's the deal; I'm gonna take Mary home right now, and then I'm gonna find Lewis. And when I find him, I'm gonna kill him. I'm a very clever detective, and I will kill him in such a way, I will not be caught; he will simply disappear, and like all sphincters before him...he will not be missed."

Words cannot describe how much I love that speech, and how much I love Andre Braugher's delivery thereof. Beauty.

Bodie and Doyle.

The late, great Jerry Orbach as Lennie Briscoe and the late, great John Thaw as Detective Chief Inspector Morse.

Both actors died too young.
