So the Daleks have appeared to every companion so far in the new series. How long do you think it will take for there to be a Dalek episode with 11 and his new companion?
No, I did not want to see it until after TEOT Part 2 aired in the US tonight.Didn't you see the trailer for the new series, SG-17?![]()
Well it doesn't really spoil anything. Other than the 11th Doctor exists, which everyone knows. No, I did not want to see it until after TEOT Part 2 aired in the US tonight.Didn't you see the trailer for the new series, SG-17?![]()
Oh.... lol
Frankly, I'm sick of the Daleks. And don't undertand their long standing popularity....I mean, like the Borg, they're great in very small doses.....but they lose their bad assness when they keep getting defeated by one guy and some regular joes...again and again and again

Indeed.
Doctor Who four through to seven got a Dalek adventure each. So for a while we were drip fed. The two new Doctors got one per series, so we're sort of gorged.
And the Doctors of old were never quite able to give a killer blow as often to the Daleks, fended some of them off rather than wipe out an Empire most of the time.
NuWho has sort of done for the Daleks what Voyager did for the Borg.
That being said, the Dalek we glimpsed in the trailer looked a bit...classic.
Agreed completely. I love the old Cybermen from The Tenth Planet through The Invasion. Back then they were interesting...and terrifying. I listened to "Spare Parts" last night and it was one of the most riveting stories I've heard in a long time. While "Rise of the Cybermen"/"The Age of Steel" were inspired by "Spare Parts," they're a watered down version. I want to see something darker and blood-chilling for the Cybermen. The Cybermen aren't much better with all this "Delete" crap. I don't know if that kind of thing makes it too kiddie like, or just shows it to be rooted in a 60's sci-fi mentality. It comes off as hokey after awhile. Ditto for the Cybermen stomping around.
I hope Moff can do something with the Daleks to make them remotely interesting cuz right now I don't think I'd miss 'em if they never came back.
I'm also sick of the Daleks and I wish they would take a season break. At least.
That being said, the Dalek we glimpsed in the trailer looked a bit...classic. Hopefully that'll make for an interesting twist.
