So WHEN Do We Officially Hear About The Sequel?!?

Just out of curiosity - since this discussion seems to be turning rabid - is there really any doubt that there will be a sequel? With all time high reviews, boxoffice running high, and the standing sets already paid for, isn't this just a question of stating the obvious "officially?" I think there's such a thing as being overcautious, if the official notice is holding you back from something - joy, hate, discussion or so forth.

I'd be amazed if there wasnt a sequel, it doesnt really need any announcement to commence speculation on what it would be about.

And my feelings on a sequel are unlikely to change - didnt like the first one much but it had potential, which i hope they will realise in the next one. So i guess cautious optimism is the best way to describe how i feel.
