Perhaps the basic crew have been announced, but what about the lead? Is there a reason for it short of building suspense?
FTFYI think it may be, yeah.
The rumors are that this whole show is about Garth at the Battle of Axanar.
Also, it's going to heavily feature a young, CG version ofLeonard Nimoy's SpockWilliam Shatners Kirk.
Here's a sneak peek at that CG version. Also, it's going to heavily feature a young, CG version of Leonard Nimoy's Spock.
Neither was Will Riker the actual Number One from the Cage.People keep using the term Number One. As I understood, that was simply a comment by the creators, and this character isn't the ACTUAL Number One from The Cage.
Neither was Will Riker the actual Number One from the Cage.
I used the term "Number One" because it was my understanding that Sonequa Martin-Green's character might sometimes be referred to as "Number One" (maybe by Captain Lorca...maybe?), just like Will Riker was often referred to as "Number One" by Picard.
Is this the actual Number One from The Cage?
You missed the announcement of Sonequa Martin-Green as Number One, then? Or do you mean her official character name, which I think has yet to be officially given?
There has been no such announcement. It's been widely reported, but not announced. In fact, if you look at the official cast announcements (including yesterday's), they always recap all the officially announced actors to date. Sonequa Martin-Green is never included in that list. Don't know why they haven't officially announced it yet, but they haven't.
It's been made public in places like Entertainment Weekly, Us Magazine, and has even been asked about what it means for her character in The Walking Dead, so she's even confirmed it.
