With them usurping the Star Trek title for this film (which is one of my few major qualms with it; I'm willing to give it a chance, I just dislike the usurping of the name and one or two other little things) my question is... what the frak are they going to do for 12?
I mean, can they call it Star Trek 2, or something? Or would that just be confusing as hell?
They could go back to the no-number sub-title route, like Generations through Nemesis.
They could go modern Batman route, and after Star Trek (Begins) do something like "Where No Man Has Gone Before" as a title...
Still... it feels like they didn't think this thing out.
By using just "Star Trek" it's going to eventually confuse some folks, between film and TOS. Not the fans, but the new people who might decide to become Trekkies. Since they're going to have to face the problem with the next film, theoretically... why didn't they just sub-title this film?
Star Trek: The Future Begins
Star Trek Begins
You know?
*Shrug*
I'd die laughing if they, even as a joke, gave the film next the working title "Star Trek 12: So Very Tired"
