So what are you writing now?

Right now?

I'm scripting an adaptation of John Saul's novel The God Project (All Fall Down in the UK), a double-duology horror comic, and I've just contracted to write the ultimate in-depth guide and analysis book to...

A certain subject which will be announced in the New Year, so I can't tell you yet.

And as I mentioned in another thread last night (it now being New Year) that nonfiction subject is...

Blake's 7

Is there anyway to watch Blake's 7 on DVD or download in the US? I've been hearing about this for sometime now but never I've never seen it.

^^ A friend of mine has been watching them on YouTube, I believe, since they're not on DVD. He's been trying to get me interested in it all summer to little avail.

I just finished comments or a general review of Rough Beasts of Empire at a blog I use to keep track of my reading.

B7 was available in North America on VHS a long time ago, not that that will help anyone now. I'm glad I still have mine, though. Some North American fans with the right equipment have bought the UK DVDs, but ISTR they were pretty expensive.

The thing about B7 to keep in mind is that the cheapness of the special effects can be really distracting. It took me a few tries over a few years to get into it, but once I did, I was really hooked.

So who's publishing this book, anyway? Telos has already done one...

Archer is meeting Kirk. How's that for fanboyish. I don't care what Pocket books has to say. I have my own universe anyway.

I'm looking for two three book deals is all.

We have what the aliens

I'm in the home stretch of a novel I actually keep the copyright on, a police procedural that takes place in a city filled with superheroes. (These are heroes I've made up in the fictional metropolis of Super City.)

After that, I'm diving into another original novel, an urban fantasy taking place in the Bronx.

I also have a high fantasy and a middle-grade series rummaging in my brain.....

I have lost the synopsis to the crime novel I'm attempting to write and my laptop shows no signs of it. Neither do my flash drives and the hard copy has vanished into the ether. I will have a look at work to see if I saved a copy there as an additional backup, and if not I will try recreating it from scratch. I've been looking for the synopsis all week while I've been snowed in to no avail. I'm grouchy because of it and wishing that I didn't lose things so often.

At least I have a first draft of the prologue handwritten in a folder. I might go and fiddle with it before I decide on how to proceed with chapter one.

That actually sounds super interesting. ;) Keep us updated?

I'm working on some short stories featuring a superhero of my own creation set in the 1940s. I say some because I'm making them connect into a story arc, sort of like a television show in prose. So the basic outline(s) need to be worked out, although I've already started on the first story.

I'm also contemplating putting out some sort of e-zine of this series and a serialized novel I wrote not too long ago, all in the style of the old pulps.

Just revised a piece on Richard Matheson for the Tor newsletter.

(Would you believe Richard actually turns 85 next week!)
