So what are you reading now (Part 4)?

Recently finished Orion's Hounds and enjoyed it greatly. Looking forward to the rest of the Titan series, but this month I'm focusing on the two Typhon Pact books and finishing off the Enterprise relaunch.

I'm looking to start the Discworld series, but even with a reading order guide, it's all a bit overwhelming working out where to start (let alone tracking down the early books).

Part of the reason he joined DS9 and went on the Gamma mission is because he wanted to be an explorer. It's been a major part of his character since they first introduced him.

I was trying to be discrete because I don't know the forum's spoiler tags. The book mentions something happening to Vaughn while he is captaining a ship -- was that incident mentioned in any other DS9 book? I haven't read beyond Warpath and the first Worlds of DS9 book. (I can't even find the third one online. )

I'm taking a break from Patrick O'Brian to re-read Michael Chabon's The Amazing Adventures of Kavalier And Clay.

No, the last we saw him in The Soul Key he was fine and still on DS9.

^ I used to love Tim Zahn, not just his Star Wars stuff but everything, but I hated Night Train To Rigel with a passion and haven't read anything since. Is Cobra War worth picking up?

I enjoyed the original Cobra trilogy, and the new Cobra War series is a decent addition to the cobra-verse (so far). You can get the original trilogy (in e-book form) for $4.00 on baen.com:

Book 2 in the Cobra War series will be released soon.

Reading Fall Out: The Unofficial and Unauthorized Guide to The Prisoner by Alan Stevens and Fiona Moore.

Reading Blood, Sweat and Chalk: The Ultimate Football Playbook by Tim Layden. Looks at the evolution of football through the lens of strategy.

I guess it's safe to assume you mean the rugby with padding you chaps over the pond play.

I'm still wadding through Seize the Fire. I'm about half way through and as I've gotten this far, I might aswell finish it.

Finished Full Circle and almost wanted to read it again right away, I loved it so much. But now I've started Vanguard: Precipice.

^ It's gonna pretty much knock your socks off, too. You picked some pretty strong ones back to back right there.

Yup, Full Circle was one of the high points of my year's reading. Now that I'm done with the first Typhon Pact novel, I'm trying to finish The Earth Shall Weep: A History of Native America. Har to do when my cold/sinus medication keeps ushering me off to sleep.

I've got about 10 pages left of SW: The Phantom Menaces' novelisation. I have to admit I've been somewhat underwhelmed. I like the movie, so overall I like the book, I'm just not sure if I like Terry Brooks writing style, it's kinda flat. Brooks writing just has no real personality to it, it's pretty much just a description of events. As for the added content, there has been quite a bit of it, but none of it has been anything that interesting. my score: 8/10 (which is pretty much the same as what I'd give the movie).
