So what are you reading now (Part 4)?

So it's been just Trek authors so far, then. And not just Trek, but SCE, which I find especially appropriate.

Perry Rhodan #67 - Zwischenspiel auf Siliko V (where a small moon - 80 km in diameter - has been turned into a giant space-fort by the Arkon Empire; but here it actually IS a moon ;))

Sure, somewhere down the line.

But I'm so far behind with my reviews at the moment it's ridiculous.

Due to not feeling to well the last few weeks I'm still far behind with my reviewing, but my review of Substitution Method is finally online.
I'm glad the Eureka book is good. I'm a huge fan of the series, and I've been looking forward to reading this.
Did Aaron Rosenberg write the second one too?

I believe so.

I believe so.

As I said above, while he has written the third book scheduled for March 2011 (according to his website he finished it recently), he hasn't written the second book.

According to Dayton Phaedra Weldon has written the second one, which was released a few days ago.

Oops. I stand corrected. (I knew Aaron was working on a second novel in the series.)

Just read the post you linked to and that is several times now I've heard someone mention NCIS when talking about tie-ins. Are they doing novels for NCIS?

No tie-in novels to the TV show, sadly.

There is a series of NCIS novels by Mel Odom, but those have nothing to do with the tv show.

Personally I would love to see NCIS tie-ins, preferably written by Dayton, but since there haven't been any even after the show is on the air for so long, I don't hold my breath.

Me too. I could really see pretty much any of the regular Trek writers doing a great job with NCIS.

^ Probably, but beside the fact that IMO NCIS' style just fits his style perfectly, I think Dayton's time as marine would give his hypothetical NCIS tie-in novels just that extra bit of authenticity.

Oh, I'm agree with you (again). I just meant that the other Trek writers could do a good job too. For instance, I could see a KRAD NCIS book being pretty cool too.

The "N" is for Navy, though, right? I'm not sure an ex-Marine would take that as a compliment. ;)

As my comment was aimed at Gibbs being a Marine, I don't think Dayton would have a problem with it. :mallory:

NCIS is the Navy/Marine version of the FBI.

Since the show is on CBS, why couldn't Pocket ask CBS to ask Bellisario to get some NCIS novels going? I sure as hell would read them, as would my wife, and clearly we're not the only ones.

Actually Bellisario hasn't been in charge for a couple years, it's Shane Brennan.

^ But rumor has it that Bellisario being opposed to tie-ins to NCIS is the main reason there are none.
