I finished The Dresden Files: Grave Peril, which I loved. My Rating: 10/10

I absolutely love Dresden. There isn't a single bad book in the series thus far. I'm waiting for Changes to be published in paperback to that I can get around to reading it. It was nice being able to go through and read the entire series (like, 12 novels) all in short succession. Now that I'm caught up, waiting for new books to come out is just painful! LOL

Finished the second book in Peter F. Hamilton's Void trilogy. "Trilogy" in name only; this is really one giant novel that's just been published in three parts. There's no resolution of any kind at the end of each one. Which makes my decision to wait for the third one to come out before reading the series totally awesome.

Anyway - he's absolutely done it again. I know of no other author that can pull off sci-fi stories at this kind of scale with this flawless a sense of pacing and build. Freaking phenomenal. Book 3 is going to be iiiinsane.

Right to left, top to bottom. Same within the panels -- the speech balloons on the right come first. Basically it's a mirror image -- the front cover is where the back cover would be in an English-language book, with the spine on the reader's right.

Also, you'll get used to reading the manga pretty quick, it didn't take me very long to get used to reading a manga.

Once Christopher explained it to me I picked it up pretty quickly. Once I get through the new Game Informer issue I'll move on the SJ.

I recently finished David Mack's Star Trek Mirror Universe: The Sorrows of Empire novel - it was very good. I liked the "Foundation" vibe - I was expecting something more tragic, though. ;)

I almost feel like trying some more of the other Mirror/Myriad Universe stuff now.

But for a change of pace I'm re-reading John Buchan's "The Thirty-Nine Steps" - it's one of my favourites.

I'm currently a third of the way through "A Clash of Kings" by George R R Martin. Enjoying it so far:)

You should, the majority of the stories in the series are great.

I hope I can start with "Zero Sum Game" this weekend. Until then I'm rereading the DS9 anthology "Prophecy And Change" at the moment.

Recently finished "Sarek" very good but long and drawn out at times.

Just started "The Lost Years".

I just finished Vanguard book two: Summon the Thunder by Ward and Dilmore. Waiting on book 3 to arrive in mail so I can continue with this series.

Before that, Tymora's Luck by Kate Novak and Jeff Grubb.

Before that, I went through all the Terry Brooks books I had.

I typically bounce between fantasy, science-fiction and non-fiction as the mood grabs me.

Finished Substitution Method (and liked it), now on to Supernatural: War of the Sons by Rebecca Dessertine and David Reed.

just started Typhon Pact: Zero Sum Game. Great so far. I'm sure i'll have it done by tomorrow. It really does have a good jumping on point for us trekkies who didn't read any of the DS9 relaunch.

Indianatrekker I'm a little suprised that you got Zero sum game so quickly.I can't wait for this book to finally comes in to my local Barnes&Noble.;) How has Bashir changed as acharacter since he hasn't had alot to do in the last several Ds9 books.

Just finished the first Castle novel, "Heat Wave." Resuming my re-read of Michael Stackpole's X-Wing novels, I'm up to "Wraith Squadron" now. Killing time until I get a copy of "Zero Sum Game."

Thanks for the recommendation. But after all the inter-continuity in Trek books of recent years I find the idea stand-alone stories a little off-putting.

Anyway, I'm moving on from the "The Thirty-Nine Steps" to it's sequel "Greenmantle".

I don't know what I find more unexpected: that The Thirty-Nine Steps has a sequel, or that it isn't called Steps Forty and Up. :D
