So what are you reading now (Part 4)?

I'm going back through the TNG-RL, on Q&A now. Brilliant stuff! Although T'Lana and Leybenzon always have annoyed me.

I'm back on the old TOS books. Currently about 3/4 through "The Wounded Sky." Took a few chapters to get going, but enjoying it now.

I just finished TNG: Immortal Coil last night, and I absolutely loved it. I've always been a big fan of Trek AI stories, and this was easily one of the best. My rating:10/10

Just finished 50 Years of Coronation Street: The (very) Unofficial Story by Sean Egan. Unlike many unauthorized tie-in books, this one involved a lot of new interviews with creators and cast members of the show. (It's a soap opera, but it's about a working class neighbourhood in the north of England; if you only know American soaps you have very little idea of what it's like. My wife Laura got me hooked on it, though I'd seen it before a few times.) Pretty good read, not that many people here are likely to be interested.

Last Thanksgiving my father in law bought a stack of used Parker novels by Richard Stark for 10 cents each at a Friends of the Library sale. He knows Point Blank with Lee Marvin is one of my favorite movies. I didn't want to read them all in a bunch right after I got them, wanted to pace myself. Well I didn't pace myself very well, I had a few unread and now I'm reading a bunch of them in a row because I want to finish them off before I go back to his place this Thanksgiving.

This week I'm reading The Score, The Jugger and The Rare Coin Score. All great stuff.

As far as Star Trek goes, I'm finishing up the un-numbered books, I saved Voyager for last. I'm plodding my way through Mosaic and Pathways. After that it's The Nanotech War, I hope it's better, then I'm done. Then I move on to finishing up the the novelizations and start in on Shatnerverse.

I decided that I wasn't really the mood for The Amber Spyglass, and I decided to go back to The Phantom Menace novelization. The Amber Spyglass is in no way bad, I loved the first two books (The Golden Compass, and The Subtle Knife), and I am definitely going to read it.... just not right now.

I finished reading the S.C.E. omnibus Breakdowns and was rather underwhelmed.

I am now reading TNG novel Nightshade

Reading Detiny part 2, about 40% through... (reading other stuff too such as a history and a biography but the Destiny seems relevant here)

I finished the SCE Interphase two-parter. It was a fun read, but predictable - especially the attempt to re-open the rift before the Tholians arrived. That outcome was telegraphed very blatantly.

I'm now reading the old TNG novel Sins of Commission, hoping to find some clue as to the origin of my phantom TNG Tholian novel from the "101 things" thread. Riker looks totally plastered on the cover pic.

I'm also continuing my Trek through classic fanfic, with Alternate Universe 4, volume 2 "The Debt". Pathos levels to maximum!

I finished Zero Sum Game last night and started on Heat Wave by "Richard Castle" today. After that I'll be reading Crucible: Spock - The Fire and the Rose.

Book 3 in the 'Sisters of the Swords' trilogy....

Before that, I finished reading 'Circle K Cycles' by my instructor...(and I just realized that since this is the internet, and I have to remain 'professional' I can't say anymore)...

I started Star Wars: Luke Skywalker and the Shadows of Mindor earlier today. I'm almost done with TPM, and I was in the mood for something with the OT characters, so I decided to pick this up since it's been sitting on my self for months.

I'm reading "Incandescence", by Greg Egan.

Alternately: I'm reading an incredible complex dissertation on orbital mechanics around a collapsed star, like a neutron star or black hole.

I was a math major, I've actually taken classes in most of this, and I still have to have a pad of paper and a calculator nearby to keep up.

But if you're a physics nerd (Christopher? I'm calling you...) you need to be ON this.

See my sig. and avatar.

Just finished TNG: Grounded by David Bischoff, and now reading TNG: The Devil's Heart by Carmen Carter.

I'm trying to decide if I want to keep going with Seven Deadly Sins, or if want to start Eragorn, Mort or Casino Royale. Any recommendations?
