So what are you reading now? (Part 3)

I just finished Metamorphosis by Jean Lorrah. I'm changing it up a bit, gonna read all the old crossover series, beginning with Invasion! Then I'll read through the Day of Honor and Captain's table series.

I'm coming close to done with The Golden Compass, but I can't decide what to read next, I've got several choices, and I wanted some advice. I've got Casino Royale, Seven Deadly Sins, A Game of Thrones, or Night Watch (the Russian novel that was the basis for the movie, not the Discworld book, although I do on reading that one too eventually). So which do you guys think I should do next?

I finally had got to read Troublemaker and Other Saints by Christina Chiu....

It was mediocre...

Currently, I'm trying to decide on what to read next.

I finished Captain's Glory. The last third picked up, and the ending was utterly bizarre. Who knew Kirk's son was...err...what he was? What an entirely logical plot development. Not crazy nonsensical at all.
Maybe the TNG-era Shatnerverse has run it's course.

I'm re-reading Pawns and Symbols. All I remember is that the Klingons were very different to the Ford or TV versions, and couldn't see the colour red.
Enjoying so far.

I just finished reading Star Trek Inception it was okayas a character driven novel. I like Unspoken truth better it grabs your attention from the first page and you can't wait to find out what happens next.:techman:

I finished reading Assassin's Creed: Renaissance earlier and started on Percy Jackson & the Olympians, Book I: The Lightning Thief.

I was going to start reading StarTrek Inception is it a good story?

I really enjoyed Inception. It gives a nice backstory to carol marus and Jim Kirk. Also shows an interesting side of Mr. spock. I enjoyed this very personal book. It was a pleasant easy and intersting read!

Earlier in the week I started STAR TREK : Vulcan's Glory. It is a very special book it says. We will see!:)

In the past couple days I've set aside Dune. I don't know why but I just couldn't get into it. I've been reading it for over a month and I was only about 70ish pages into it, which is the same amount of time it usually takes me to get through an entire 300+ page book.

I'm reading Star Trek Titan: Synthesis. It's a good story because it has continuity with the rest of the Titan novels I've read, the characters aren't one-dimensional, the mini-stories that develop through character interaction capture your attention, and it does have suspensful, mysterious, and action-centered parts. The only drawback is that in some parts, they could be a bit more action-filled; besides that, I'm liking it so far:)

The Children of Men, by P.D. James.

I've reached the end of the book's first half. Unless there's a rapid turnaround in the first chapter or two of the second half, I'm done with this. I want some plot with my poetry, thanks.

I finished Unspoken Truth by Margaret Wander Bonnano an excellent Saavik novel.:techman:I started reading Wizard's First rule by Terry Goodkind it's going to take awhile to finish reading such a lengthy novel.

I'm reading 'Uhura's Song' right now....

So far it's pretty good; I'm only at the second chapter.

For the Spock/Uhura shippers, you can almost analyze certain parts in the first chapter alone...

Just finished Part One of Avatar. A really good start to the DS9-R. I liked the characterizations and the pacing. I was a little fearful, as I didn't enjoy the same author's book Inception. It lags in the middle for me a little (mostly because I have zero interest in the Ezri/Bashi romance, which I could never believe onscreen), but it picks up getting to cliffhanger, which is awesome. Hope it holds up.

I'm starting Part Two, though I'm sorely tempted to get going on my Bonnano-thon (Burning Dreams and Unspoken Truth).

Since the last time I posted in this thread, which is probably back in early Feb, I've finished:

-- Vulcan's Forge by Josepha Sherman & Susan Shwartz
-- Vulcan's Heart by Josepha Sherman & Susan Shwartz

Forge is a re-read, I don't think I've ever read Heart when I first got it. I enjoyed both books enormously. Though I started re-reading Forge because I wanted to read the Vulcan's Soul trilogy, I think I'll take a little break from these books and will read Voyager: Unworthy next.

I've also finished reading The 13-1/2 Lives of Captain Bluebear, and it was the most imaginative, fantastical and crazy story I ever read. Next, I'll read a classic: The Complete Adventures of Snugglepot and Cuddlepie.

Finished David Sheppard's bio of Brian Eno (very good), and read the graphic novel Phonogram Volume 2: The Singles Club, which was was enjoyable if rather light on plot.

I think I'll get started on Unspoken Truth today.
