So What Are you Reading?: Generations

I finished raeding Star Trek Discovery Fear Itself by James Swallow I thought it was an intersting look into Saru's character abd trying overcoming his fear during a dangerous situation. I'm looking forward to the Tilly book by Una McCormack.

I finished up The New Avengers Vol. 2: The Sentry last night, and started the Gunmetal Magic by Ilona Andrews, the first spin-off novel in their (Andrews is actually a husband and wife writing together) Kate Daniels series. They had done several novellas in the series told from other characters' perspectives, but this is the first full length novel told from the perspective of someone other than Kate Daniels, the series lead. The POV character this time is Kate's best friend Andrea, a Bouda, aka a Hyena shapeshifter.

I've moved on to another novel by Mike Lunnon-Wood, Dark Rose.
I'n not quite as sold on this one as his others so far, but we'll see how it goes once I'm further in.

Headlong Flight and then about a third of The Pandora Principle. Pandora had a great opening scene with Spock meing Saavik, but it got a little too cutesy for me after that and I had to give it up.

Audiobooks: wrapping up Tim Powers’ new one, Alternate Routes, before starting John Scalzi’s latest, The Consuming Fire.

Latest episode of Literary Treks is up: #246: Conquest Olympics, in which we discuss Book One of the I.K.S. Gorkon series, A Good Day to Die by Keith R.A. DeCandido.

Still reading Inferno by Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens. Definitely a lot going on in this one. Doing my best to keep everything straight!

TNG: "A Hard Rain" which I started about 2 weeks ago. I'm having difficulty getting into it. I've never been much into the whole mob genre so that may be part of it. I'm still early in but I have a strong feeling that what's going on in the holodeck has something to do with the problems the Enterprise is having. We'll see how it continues.

I’ve spent the past month or so re-reading the New Frontier series. I finished ‘Missing in Action’ tonight and I absolutely loved it. It gets a big 5/5 from me

The Face of the Unknown. Good eye-catching cover on this one. Creative world building, too; that seems to be CLB's specialty.

I've been reading some of my comic book backlog, and have recently read DC's Dark Night: Metal, and I am just starting Sean Murphy's Batman: White Knight.
