"Ex astris, ad metam!", which Mr Google tells me means, "From the stars, goal!"
I just read articles online from various sources.

So, that's it? After Academy and Strange New Worlds end, no new Trek? Another hiatus for the franchise?
Even with its 60th Anniversary on the horizon?!
I just got back into Trek four years ago and now this?
I'm appalled, upset, and melancholy about the whole thing. I secretly hoped for a spin off sequel continuation of Lower Decks, and I didn't want SNW to be cancelled.
I swear, I hate business mergers. Because stuff like this always happens with corporate change, and directions that are questionable in the long run. Franchises suffer, change due to "age demographics".
And for what?...
If anyone can help this fan with the dark cloud looming overhead, offer some input or sage advice that everything will be ok or something will come along. I welcome it.
Your Star Trek United football badge needs an old school Latin motto.
Maybe "Don't let the pointy-eared bastards grind you down."

ETA: Correcting it for the footie fans on the board.
Announcer: "Tonight's matchup is Star Trek: United versus Naboo City!"
Since Star Trek: United is playing at home, there's gagh, leola root soup, and Romulan ale available at the concession stand.![]()
I think this anniversary should be a celebration of the things Trek purports to celebrate like exploration space travel. So, instead of just focusing on Star Trek, I think celebrating things like Artemis II, or looking forward to new space travel and tech as well as new opportunities is a good way forward. The franchise's 60th anniversary is this year and on the horizon. Regarding this news, what's going to happen to make it a commendable event?
Attention everyone who has taken the time to read this thread.
I want to apologize, for my thoughts on the matter of learning of Trek's hiatus. And I really wanted that Lower Decks sequel spinoff...but I guess I'll have to wait a few years before that comes to pass.
It's just I just got back into Trek in 2022, ever since nearly leaving for close to ten years prior.
To put it plainly, I was venting my frustrations, which was probably unprofessional.

Or heck, the European Union (and maybe what’s left of NATO, even if the biggest member leaves), since it’s presumably the forerunner of the European Hegemony —> United Earth —> Coalition of Planets —> UFP progression that makes the whole thing possible.I think this anniversary should be a celebration of the things Trek purports to celebrate like exploration space travel. First, there’s no need to apologize for being upset about the state of Star Trek at the moment. That’s why we have this forum, so people can post their feelings about Trek, whether good or bad.
However, not to add insult to injury, but I don’t think you’re ever going to get a follow up show to Lower Decks. I believe all of CBSTrek is done for good. Now we patiently wait, possibly for years, until Skydance decides how they want to reinvigorate Trek. And I guarantee it won’t be resurrecting something that came before.
