Every now and then I think I should collect the series, but I never find more than one or two sets at a time, or they're over priced.

Walk into a store today and what do I find on sale...?

Get it :)

Watching the whole thing back-to-back is so worthwhile, seeing how the characters and stories evolve and grow into one seriously excellent series is most enjoyable.

It's definitely worth getting. I'm not sure how much of an option it is in New Zealand with shipping and what not, but you can usually get a set pretty cheap on ebay too, if this set is too highly priced. Until/If DS9 comes out on Blueray, they're just going to get more and more uncommon.

I picked up the 7th season at a local used music/video store, so that's an option too. They have others there, but I'm hoping to save money to buy myself TOS for Christmas or my birthday in January.

The complete set is for sale at $175 here in Oz. I remember back in the day when it first came out in the giant dark purple plastic cases, they were $150 for 1 season here in Oz. Ridiculous.

25 bucks a season is really very good! They are worth picking up and as Bry Sinclair mentioned, it really is something to watch it all back-to-back.

Yeah, get them! You won't regret it! I've just started Season 1 again and I'm up to Duet so far, such a good series. I Got mine about 7/8 years ago and paid about £30/35 per season so you've probably got yourself a bargain if they're all on sale! IF they remaster DS9 it probably won't be for another 2/3 years so you'll definitely get your money's worth.

Only downside for me is that if you've been watching remastered TOS or TNG you'll certainly notice how poor the quality is compared. Very annoying but still very enjoyable.

I purchased 2 sets of in the US because the first set had some damaged discs and most of the packaging was falling apart upon opening. I figrued I got a lemon the first time. And I figured I could just sell whatever I didn't need in the second set. Big mistake. Most of the disc holders fell apart when I opened them and some didn't work. I guess it's because they've been sitting in storage somewhere for so many years coupled with the fact that they were poorly constructed packages. Regardless, I hope they spend more time on quality packaging for the blurays.

I got the DVDs ages ago. I never watch them. I've got them all ripped to an external hardrive and I watch that. But the actual DVDs I own are sitting in a very nice collector's box. I should put up a photo, I suppose...

Also, Netflix won't have the series forever. They drop movies & shows all the time with little to no warnin'.
