Exactly. Unfortunately, the writers decided to listen to the "fans" as if they have one unified opinion. The season one finale shot was just fine. The fictional Star Trek universe can indeed have 200 Inquiry-class ships, the big deal is only in the kind of fans' minds who really shouldn't be pandered to.
That's what I grew up with. It's fine by me.I don't think anyone's all that keen on the copy/paste fleet,
No. The complaints have been heard and they made a diverse fleet to satisfy the haters for Season 2. That's the fix.Any chance they’ll fix that god awful copy and paste job at the end of season 1?
No, what happens is instead of appreciating the show as is it basically loud clamoring for them daring to reuse assets. And now, the fans are emboldened to complain about whatever they like and expect that the producers will dance to their beat.It doesn't make someone a hater to want to see Starfleet as it's been depicted for the last 40 years though, with more than one class in service at once. Especially when seeing a few of the older classes like the Intrepid or the Sovereign would've really helped tie the series to its history and make it feel like a familiar place.
Zero.Any chance they’ll fix that god awful copy and paste job at the end of season 1?
you know the copypaste fleet was not the plan and only happened because production was rushed due to the pandemic, right?Exactly. Unfortunately, the writers decided to listen to the "fans" as if they have one unified opinion.

I do. I just didn't think it needed fixing.you know the copypaste fleet was not the plan and only happened because production was rushed due to the pandemic, right?
How about you take your disgruntlement with me to PM? Seriously. I saw the rage, and efforts for fans to fix this supposed problem when it worked within the context of the show. Limitations are a good thing in art.Aaaand...here we are again, yet another topic derailed by fireproof’s usual lashing against the “haters”.
You say 'the fans' and 'the producers' like they're two different groups who want different things. And now, the fans are emboldened to complain about whatever they like and expect that the producers will dance to their beat.
Me neither: what’s done is done.I do. I just didn't think it needed fixing.
I have no disgruntlement with you. But you have been derailing basically every post in the last few days, making it about “you against the haters”, and that is getting annoying quickly. How about you take your disgruntlement with me to PM?
No, I don't. I think there is a huge swath and variety of people and opinions out there, including people who liked the fleet from the end of Season 1. But, producers live in a world of time constraints and financial limitations. You say 'the fans' and 'the producers' like they're two different groups who want different things.
There's a handy button for that.I have no disgruntlement with you. But you have been derailing basically every post in the last few days, making it about “you against the haters”, and that is getting annoying quickly.

Star Trek was supposedly about imagining the future not grasping to the glory days of the past. One highly advance ship being built by Starfleet after the attack was actually pretty damn impressive to see in the story.

TOS is also established lore, which means single ship fleets are just as legitimate in Star Trek lore. It comes down to preference, not lore. It’s not unreasonable to expect them to follow established lore, there was always multiple classes in fleets prior to this (with the exception of TOS)
This here I agree with. Also, I don't see me "against the haters." What I saw in the interview with the team was basically "We heard the complaints and we'll fix it." Now, I'm sorry, but that rewarded complaining so that behavior will continue. And I do not think that is a good place for a production team to be.
Well not exactly, it's because the writers or whoever decided to add a big fleet at the last minute. At least according to the people who were interviewed for the Eaglemoss booklet it was a very last minute request. Eaves was given 2 days to throw together a few ships (when normally he has a month or so), and the VFX team had like a month or something to put it all together, you know the copypaste fleet was not the plan and only happened because production was rushed due to the pandemic, right?
This armada is making me hungry!"The copypasta fleet!"
They would still need access to those models first. They apparently didn't. It would have also taken time to convert the models to whatever format they use at the VFX studio.f they just grabbed a shot of a bunch of Starfleet ships from late-DS9 (one with a lot of FC designs), upgraded it to HD, and inserted Riker's ship in the front
