Y'know I used to really enjoy the series, but I mean if they don't fuckin get Clark to fly, float whatthefrakever then I think we fans need to revolt and tell the fuckin nitwit moron jackasses in charge of the damn show "ENOUGH ALREADY OF THIS 'BUILD UP' BULLSHIT AND JUST GIVE THE SONNUVABITCH FLIGHT AND THE NAME SUPERMAN ALREADY!!!!"

When will he finally fly and call himself Superman... Season 11 episode 13? So we get like a half dozen episodes of him as Superman then it ends, right? Asshats.

able to leap tall buildings in a single bound.... I think he'd be able to land on his feet even if he just fell from the plane... but then would tess survive that kind of impact... I guess that all depends on who put what in the writers coffee...

He would survive the fall from an airplane, but she wouldn't. She would be crushed against him, for her it would be like hitting the ground. They could skirt the issue by having him float down. Or he could jump out in an inflatable rubber life raft.

And when Superman flew up and saved a falling Lois in the first Donner movie it was worse then fitting the ground because she hit a target moving in the opposite direction. It's TV physics, as long as the person falling doesn't hit the ground himself/herself they survive as if nothing happened.

Two more seasons? Frak that! Once I heard about the announcement that season nine was coming next year I told myself that I'm done with the series after the finale. It was going really good until Lana came back and had to screw things up again, it doesn't even matter if she's gone or not! With the death of a long standing character rumor going about for the last couple of weeks is true and if if it is who I don't want it to be then I'm truly done.

Are you sure? I heard only one. Two more seasons? Welling will be 32 in April. He's going to be 33 and 34 and still play the wide eyed kid who can't fly? Not that 34 is ancient, but it's too old to be playing the early 20ish kid who won't embrace his destiny, yes.

If the show still has Chloe then I'll probably keep watching, however Tom Welling's refusal to play the character he's paid to play isn't going to become less of a problem as a result.

The thing that makes me think that Chloe is going to kick the bucket is that when the Legion appeared they stated very clearly that there were no records of Chloe Sullivan in the future. I thought at first that was just Geoff playing around with the fact that she is a Smallville original character, but now maybe he was just foreshadowing. I'm thinking that the storyarc with Davis is going to turn out horribly wrong and result in Chloe's death at the hands of Doomsday that will force Clark to finally fly and maybe we will get some form of Superman next season. If that happens then maybe I will watch but we'll have to see. That's just a theory...

I'd rather see the season end with the classic Superman/Doomsday battle. Clark kills Doomsday but in the process dies himself. Chloe then turns on her healing powers and saves Clark since the world needs him, even though she knows saving Clark will be suicide. Season ends with some CW pop song in the background, rain falling, and Clark crying over the death of Chloe.

They won't call him Superman because that might tread on a few toes for the same reason they haven't dropped in Bruce Wayne or Diana Prince, but of course they have the rights. The show is produced by Warner Brothers for a network partially owned by Warner Brothers based on a character owned by DC Comics who are owned by Warner Brothers. They can pretty much do whatever they like.

They do Thursday at nine to see two guys who act like real men instead of wussies who are afraid to fly. There's Clark falling out a plan, then there's a guy carving up a demon with a butcher knife doused with holy water. One of our heroes, no less.
