SD cards will not replace Blu-ray anytime soon as there is no backing or hardware from within those responsible for the production of content and players. The next generation (excluding 3D Blu-ray) will almost certainly be downloadable content from the internet.
Starbreaker is right. I posted about it back in May on a thread about not being able to accept Blu-ray as a format after investing in DVD for home videos.There's no doubt in my mind that Blu-Ray/HD will be superceded by another, even more detailed video format sometime in the future,

Well, I'm still not waiting until 2025 to start buying something new. It will be ridiculously expensive and everyone will be saying not to buy it because something better will come along in 2050.
I'm holding out for the format thats in higher def than real life.
