Moving up on March 17th from Newcastle for a dream job. I've only visited once before and it seems much quieter than London, and kind of like York and Newcastle had a baby and force fed it steroids lol. Is anyone from there? What are the best parts to live in and what are good things to do while you're there?

Edinburgh is one of my favorite places.

My sincere condolences, although it could have been worse, you could be moving to Glasgow, horrible place, seems to be filled with bloody Glaswegians for some reason.

I am joking of course, Edinburgh is a cracking city, lots to see and do, but just a few things, don't look at anybody, don't talk to anybody, don't touch anything, don't touch another man Iron Bru, and if somebody asks you something, lift one leg and hop around them singing Scotland the brave, that is basically i am doing ok in Scottish. ;)

Lead Magento developer for an internationally recognised firm :-).

Of course my real dream job is Astronaut, but this one is my realistic dream job.

congrats! Edinburgh is pretty far on top of my to see list. My sis has been there and very much enjoyed it, particularly the many pubs and cultural events.
Isn't StolenThunder from there or am I confusing cities?

And while we are at it - though slightly off-topic - how is the city pronounced correctly? I've heard Eh-din-burgh, Ee-din-burgh and Ee-din-brah.
