Either the enterprise or some other exploration vessel making contact with the Comet Observatory from "Super Mario Galaxy"

They'd also have to explain how it even works though since it's completely unconventional with how Starships and stations are usually built. I think they would rule out this being magic as they would assume that it's a level of technology fr beyond the Federations and is indistinguishable from the concept of "magic" according to Humans.
It would be clear that there seems to be an invisible atmospheric bubble around it since the occupants on it can still breath despite being completely open air as well as a deflector shield to protect it from hazards like radiation and such. It also has artificial gravity but has this "safety net" where those who fall off get caught by some kind of energy bubble that transports them back to the Observatory's main platform.
It's capable of movement, though when it does, it usually resembles a comet:
In other appearances in future mario games, it was also capable of landing on a Planet's Surface:

From Archer and all the way to Janeway, how would Each Captains from the series react to it's discovery as well as the response of the Federation/Coalition of Planets/United Earth in different eras?.
bonus scenario would be the encounter or contact with the hub of Suuper Mario Galaxy 2, The Starship Mario:

AKA another unconventional ship that doesn't make sense.
It too would have the same Artificial atmosphere and deflector shield setup like the comet Observatory.
How would they rationalize star bits and lumas too?
