SO happy! My 1st new car! Mustang!

Well almost new, 2012 v6... I'm soooo in love I had to share my happiness! She is sooo amazing. The beauty, the power, the sleekness. Got a great deal, she only had 17k miles. Handles like a dream. Just had to have a Mustang.... when I was a teenager I had a 1980 mustang and remember enjoying that car loads. But the new version is like a different animal! The interior is sleek and the sound system is amazing. When I floor it I hit 100 mph so fast it's unreal.

Took her on a road trip last weekend and she handled like a dream. Hugging the turns, passing slow idiots in a flash. All around just a sweet ride. Any mustang lovers here? I'll probably end up having to get one for my wife as well come next year.

I just had to share... I'm in love!

Nice! :techman:

I'm jealous.

Anybody who draws me in Secret Santa, feel free to buy me a Mustang. (No, not Hot Wheels. Actual practical transportation, whether automotive, aeronautic, or equine.)

Congrats. The only Mustang I ever bought (new) was a cheap 1986 LX hatchback with a 4cyl engine. Didn't even have the fucking horse in the grill.

Are they still rear wheel drive?

Indeed they are.. The V6 is a great ride. I'd almost take it over a V8... Almost..

Oh yes enjoying the hell out of it! It is rear wheel drive. I have no need for a V8, V6 is plenty I assure you, I seem to be getting around 25mpg... way better than my old car, I certainly am noticing I'm gassing up less, always a plus. I'm sure I'd get better mpg if I could resist flooring it on the freeways now and again! Thus far I find resistance quite futile. :borg:

And yes Gaith, soon there will be a nice Starfleet delta decal on the rear window... haven't had it long enough. This one.

As a matter of fact I just ordered it right now, thanks for reminding me! I'll post a pic of it when it arrives.

Congrats. A new car is always an enjoyable experience. Take extra good care of it.

I'm not a Ford guy (Found On Road Dead, Fix Or Repair Daily), but I like that they went retro with the look of the current series.

And yeah, modern V6's can be pretty quick. Even the one I had in my 92 Beretta with the 5 speed manual was a little frightening.

But I've have a couple big V8's (6L, 5.7L) in recent years and will stick with big horsepower from now on.

I have a 2011 Mustang GT Premium. I've done alot of additional work, both engine and body.

I also have a 1993 Mustang LX 5.0 Triple White Limited Edition that I am trying to sell.

I had a 1991 Mustang LX 5.0 but sold it last year. Miss that one alot.

nice, was never a mustang guy myself, but I did recently get a new Camaro

All I can think of looking at those pictures is that if you keep parking like that the front bumper isn't going to stay attached for very long. That would be a shame.

My first new car was a cheap '84 Mustang L hatchback. It was black, and I obsessed over it. I washed it once a week and waxed it once a month. Now that I'm an old man I've washed my 2004 Envoy about 6 times, and waxed it never in 7 years.

Yeah, that was the 1st day when I realized that myself, I don't do that now. I am super careful.
