So, does anyone know Denis Leary in real life?

Rett Mikhal

Captain
My friend Jamie realized that since I'm from Framingham, Massachusetts, and Denis Leary is from Worcester, Massachusetts, I could get her an autograph. While this might be a fault in logic on her part, her birthday is coming up and it would be nice to fulfill her wish.

So I'm asking around if anyone knows Denis in real life. There is a mailing address for custom autographs, but it takes months. I'll send a letter in the mean time to cover my bases.

The blonde guy from Survivor (Eye of the Tiger, etc.) was a regular customer of mine for a while, but I don't that's what you're looking for.

Yeah, I know Denis.

I told him about this thread and he told me to tell you to go fuck yourself.

Then he lit a cigarette.

I live in Los Angeles, and I don't exactly bump into celebrities on the street every day.

I did typeset Pat Crowley's resume once, though. Lovely woman.

I was at a John Tesh concert (don't laugh - it was really good) and he autographed my ticket stub.

Chip Davis (of Mannheim Steamroller) was a patient of my dad's once.

I went to high school with the cousin of the lead singer from 'X', and with 3/5 of the lineup of '311'.

Everyone reading this thread should immediately proceed to their DVD player and watch the Comedy Central roast of Denis. You will not regret it. :techman:

Especially Denis' rebuttal. I don't know if roastees usually get one, but his was hilarious.

As long as this is turning into The Name-Dropping Thread:

When I was growing up, Steve Allen and Jayne Meadows lived just a few blocks from us. Every Halloween they'd set up a barbecue grill on the front lawn and hand out burgers and hot dogs to the local trick-or-treaters.

Now, don't go saying, "Steve and Jayne WHO??" :)

I'm in Washington, DC. Do you want me to get you a signature from the President, the Congress, the anchors of FOX news, and the Supreme Court Justices? Few years back, I could have gotten you a signature of Tim Russert. You see, I'm only a few blocks from the NBC News Studio here in DC where Meet the Press is filmed....

Not to mention this is a bit creepy

^^ Steve Allen was very cool. A real smart guy.

I think one of my relatives, probably one of my Uncles, has met Denis Leary. I can't remember which one. Leary is kind of a twit, but he can be funny. "A Traditional Irish Folk Song" is hilarious, especially for somebody who suffers from an Irish family. :rommie:

^ Don't listen to anyone who says he's only a TV personality. He'd been a musician for years before he ever stepped in front of a camera.

That being said, he was also one of the Klingons in TNG's "The Icarus Factor". :D
