If this is the new cover, must say I liked the First City of the Empire cover better.

I'm pretty sure that's an older cover from a promotional catalogue. I know I've seen it before, and before the cover with the First City at that.

Unfortunately the "burning house" of the title burnt down to ashes and rubble, and that didn't make a very exciting cover. Then they were also hoping to feature the proverbial "running man" but... he ran away.

No, the First City shot will be the actual cover of the book. The Kurn photo was just a placeholder for the catalogue, as Stephan's painting wasn't ready in time for the catalogue solicitation.

Amazon, for reasons known only to the voices in their heads, continues to run the wrong cover.

There is still an Amazon.com entry under my name for a "book" called Hidden Truths, which was the working title for my short story "As Others See Us" in Constellations. I don't know how they got the idea that it's a separate book or that it even exists, and I don't know how to ask them to delete the entry. Although maybe asking would be futile anyway.

It's possible it came from a careless entry in a Pocket Books database. All the computers talk to each other in a Skynet sort of way. Sometimes you get something corrected in one place, but than the incorrect entry gets loaded back in from some other site.

Am I the only one who's bothered that whenever Worf or other Klingons mention Klingon opera, they always refer to it as "Klingon opera?" I mean, wouldn't they think of it as just "opera," and our stuff as "Human opera?"

Also, I don't believe that opera can be the only musical form that Klingons have. I wonder, will A Burning House give us any insights into, say, Klingon chamber music? Klingon street busking? Klingon torch songs? Klingon karaoke?

Well Worf would always mention it as "Klingon" opera because he would've grown up with Human opera. I don't recall ever hearing any other Klingon refer to it.

They also still have any entry for a new Serenity novel by KRAD, with like a 2009 or 2010 release date.

It might make a little sense if the Klingons had borrowed the form of opera from humans, but I think there may have been references to Klingon operas that predate first contact.
