So ARE you going to watch the movie?

I'm new to this part of the TBBS (I'm usually fighting in TNZ over stupid crap. Now I'm doing that here) and I noticed that while the majority of the people here seem really enthusiastic about this movie (I know I am! ) there are some who don't like the idea of re-booting, or re-imagining or whatever they choose to call it.

So are you going to see the movie or not? I haven't seen a Trek movie in theatres since Insurrection (I've yet to see Nemesis all the way through when it's on tv. I just saw the part where they crash the ship and Data dies and everyone is sad) but I'm excited about this. I think a reboot is exactly what the franchaise needs. That's just my opinion though, but it seems like its the prevailing one around here.

I've seen every Trek film in the theatre. This is the first one I've been this psyched about since TWOK.

I've cleared my entire schedule, which being unemployed wasn't much to clear...
Anyway, that day will be for Star Trek XI only. And as soon as I can buy advance
tickets for my theater, I will do so, just to ensure I will be there opening night.

Of course I will but I'll see what the advance press says about it and try to gauge my decision about WHEN I want to see it.

If it seems like it's gonna be to my taste, it gets one of my AAA tickets on opening night. If it seems like Transformers with a Star Trek logo, it'll get a matinee viewing.
