So apparently i'm not trustworthy...

Where are you getting that i can't feed and clothe myself from? I have never said i can't feed myself!
If i don't get out of this miserable depressing country at least once a year i would probably kill myself. Not that i could ever kill myself mind.

...the stables where I keep my horse...

I am beyond broke and deep in debt...

...my August Vegas trip...

...my horse is eating double what im getting and I have nothing if she needs the vet...

My credit cards are maxed out.

Im [sic] using the bank of mum and dad.

My trip to trek convention once a year is a necessity...

I wouldn't take it now if she offered double the money out of principle.

I can't imagine why she would think you are irresponsible.

Then you can make the sacrifice to stay instead of go. Look, when you're poor, you have to start selling things. Believe me, I know, and I wouldn't say it unless it was something you really had to do. Don't sell anything that you can't get back, though. You will regret that later in life, but you will have to make some sacrifices in other ways. How you're doing it now simply is not sustainable.

You said it yourself....and I quote

Nacelle, you say you're broke and in debt. How are you surviving? Do you have any source of income at all? Where do you live? How do you buy food for yourself and your horse? How do you maintain and gas up your car?

Im using the bank of mum and dad. Having said that i also have to live with them. Can't afford otherwise.

If you could afford to feed, clothe, and shelter yourself, you would not be living on someone else's dime.

As above I did ask and got a bunch of pathetic excuses.
There is no other local employment. There are a lot of people out of work and no one can find any jobs at the moment as it is.

So... are you looking outside you're local area, then? I know it's a tough economy (I've been there), but you have to be open to the fact that sometimes you need to consider relocating to find work.

Disappointing that you needed "dark arts" for that, Holdfast. Your powers must be slipping if you needed performance enhancers to bring you up to 'duh' levels of observation.
You needed dark arts? Me, I've gotten used to the sun coming up in the east. You see something like that happen for long enough, you start to expect it.

You're both right, of course. But using the Dark Arts allows me to wear a cape and look terribly dashing.

I thought the cape was default winter wear and the looking terribly dashing was assumed. I guess I'm curious what the dark arts are for? ;)

I think i already mentioned i have tried to sell things and just can't. My stuff won't sell. I seem to have some kind of jinx or curse or something around me thats preventing me from making any money. Would be really grateful if someone could remove it.
By the way if anyone is interested i have a racing saddle ive been trying to sell for about 7 or so years now. It just won't sell.

^ OK, you've got to change your sig. Really.

I seem to have some kind of jinx or curse or something around me thats preventing me from making any money.

Juxtaposed with

has gone all the way past funny and into sad.

Sorry to hear about your financial problems and trust issues--I'm just saying that the gap between what your signature promises and the apparent reality of your situation is a bit strange.

If by looking outside my local area you mean moving to the land of opportunity, i.e. the US, then i would love to do that. If you mean anywhere else in the UK then its pointless. The work situation is the same everywhere. If you read any UK news site you will find tons of articles about how people here are better off on benefits than getting an actual job.
I can't relocate my horse. I would be worried that the stress of a move would kill her.

Sell your saddle for half of whatever you're asking. If no one is buying, it means either you're asking too much, or the quality isn't good enough to warrant someone's attention. That isn't a slight, but you're going to have to cut your prices. At one point, in an effort to lighten the load on my own financial situation, I sold 100 DVDs for $20. You're going to have to cut deep in some places.

Don't be so eager to come here for economic salvation. We're in a bad situation here, and the likelihood of your finding a decent job isn't very good at the moment, and that's not factoring in travel and relocation costs.

As an immigrant to the US I learned one thing. This country gives you unlimited freedom and opportunities to succeed but it also gives you the freedom to fail.
Seeing what little it takes to keep you down in a free everything socialist environment supported by the bank of Mum & Dad I would rate your chances of survival in this country as slim to none.

are you having a laugh? I moved to the US from England six months aog and I'm still waiting for my fucking green card also the economy here is just a fucked up as the Uk's right now. Maybe you should eat your horse?

I really don't see why this is a big deal. Why would you be entitled to someone's trust?

What she said. The old lady doesn't owe you anything.
Actually, Pony Lady does owe nacelle something. She told nacelle that she would get the next opportunity to care for the pony. Not only did she renege, she handed nacelle a load of bull**** instead of telling her straight up why she wasn't gettting the job after all. She owed it to nacelle to give an honest and fair reason.

I guess I disagree there. If you have a business transaction, you treat it as such. Get it in writing, get a deposit, things like that. I don't think you owe people "fair and honest" reasons for your actions. If you're worried about getting screwed, you have options you should use beforehand so that you're not simply left with the inconvenience of it all.

I thought she did like me. I've known her a few years now and we get on well.
I have several acquaintances, for over 30 years, with whom I get along very well. I would not, however, trust them to take care of my grandchildren... there is a difference between knowing someone and trusting them with my prides and joy.
At one point, in an effort to lighten the load on my own financial situation, I sold 100 DVDs for $20. You're going to have to cut deep in some places.
Next time contact ME first! Someone got a helluva deal, my friend.
