I wouldn't hang out in one, since I don't smoke and don't like the smoke ambiance, but I think private businesses should have the choice to make a smoking lounge, or even make the whole thing smoking-friendly. If someone doesn't want to go in, no one is forcing them to (including employees).
Either or, Both, None... This is about smoking, if location matters to you, include it and your reasons why...
Example, my mother doesn't smoke... But she likes the smell of a good pipe tobacco being smoked...
So she is a non smoker who doesn't mind/likes pipe tobacco smell.
Now, while I like to smoke cigars and my pipe, I really dislike cigarettes... So everyone is different and I was just wondering.
I don't smoke, and I really dislike cigarettes.. however, like Elmo, I think that private businesses (like bars) shouldn't have the government setting restrictions on smoking.

Seriously, while I have smoked a ciggy or three this year, I am by no means keeping the people at Phillip Morris in business AND while I don't smoke, so long as you don't exhale at me, I'm cool with your smoking around me!

Smoking-wise: As long as smokers do their thing outside, I can live with it. Personally, I feel that smoking is vile and disgusting and dangerous, but those who do smoke, know the risks, so I don't give them grief about it. Let them smoke if they must, but do it outside...and stay the hell away from my property in the process. I, as a property owner, have the absolute right to keep people from smoking while on that property. Seems like a small price to pay, really; if somebody comes to see me, and decides they want a smoke, they can afford to wait until they leave.
I'm a smoker (yes, it's a bad habit but Sweet Zombie JEEBUS do I love them ciggies!), and I default to "nipping out for a ciggie" when at other people's homes unless they say it's OK to smoke inside. And I never smoke inside when there's kids around. Even when outside, I try to keep my fumes away from kids and those who don't want it near them.

Anyway, I smoke cigarettes. I go outside unless I'm at home or at another smoker's house. I try to avoid exhaling near nonsmokers even on the street, I don't flick my butts, I step away from the door. The thing that pisses me off is when I'm huddled on the sidewalk freezing my ass off to accommodate the nonsmokers inside and some dick walks past unnecessarily close to me and gets all huffy about it. I go out of my way to accommodate them, they can damn well hold their breath for the .5 seconds it takes to get out of range of the trace amounts of smoke trailing off my cig.

I smoke because it's the greatest. However I've been on somewhat of a downward spiral: I started out smoking Marlboro Reds, then in later years I slowly switched to Marlboro Lights because a mate also smoked 'em (and they made me stink slightly less, as well as being much smoother).
Now, I'm smoking MENTHOLS! I promised I'd kill myself before it came to this, but it did and I'm still alive and loving menthols for some reason - I can't go back! Curse you Menthol Cigarettes!
I don't smoke and I don't really like it. I don't like it when I walk by cigarette smoke because it makes me cough, but I don't complain about it or anything. What bothers me more is the "smoker smell," that scent that smokers have on them all the time. It drives me crazy because I ride the bus every day, and it becomes immediately obvious when a smoker is sitting near me. I actually had to plug my nose for about half an hour one day because the smoker smell was so bad I honestly felt like I was going to throw up.
I've only ever had one friend that smoked and I haven't seen her in years, so the issue of people smoking around me has never really come up.

Yeah I smoke about 3/4 a pack a day. I smoke cigars occasionally with my buddies but not enough to bother voting as such.
I used to smoke more heavily but I'm doing my damnedest to cut back (and eventually quit) because I had a fairly serious asthma attack 2 months ago that landed me in the hospital.
Yeah, yeah, I'm an asthmatic smoker, I know. I'm a dumbass. Fully aware. But smoking is just so... I dunno, I like everything about it, minus the health concerns naturally.
