In other words, ignore the last 9 or 10 episodes and stay tuned for the last five minutes of the series finale. You'll have missed nothing.

Apparently actor Michael Rosenbaum may be reticent to reprise his portrayal of Lex Luthor on "Smallville" in its last season. DigitalSpy.com reports that "Smallville" Producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders "attempted to convince the actor to reprise his role as Lex Luthor for the show's final season." So far, unfortunately, the actor has not accepted. "You know what, if it's roses [that will convince him], we've done that. If it's dinner, we've done that [too]." said Peterson. Souders added: "We love him, and he's such a talented actor and brought such life to Lex Luthor."
Souders also spoke about the idea behind so many returning characters during Season 10:

"This [final] season is a lot about Clark confronting the ghosts of his past, and I think he has something to learn from everybody," claimed Souders. "When we looked back at these nine seasons, [we] tried to bring something out of it we've seen before, but [with] a new twist."
She continued: "I can't think of anybody who has been on the show where we wouldn't have a clear idea of what their story is."

"Smallville" returns with the final run of episodes beginning January 28, 2011.

Kelly doesn't have a clear idea of anything except the sound of her own voice. Yep I told you guys they've done pretty much every thing now to reach out to Michael who seems to have gone back on his original statement that he would come back for the finale. I guess we'll just have to wait and see but it doesn't look good does it? I don't get why he just doesn't jump at the chance and say yes. Like Guy points out he's done pretty much nothing since leaving two years ago.
 
There is one thing.

Maybe he heard how much money Allison got by holding her breath?

Goodness what a pretty shade of purple her cheeks must turn when she wants poepel to give her more money for the same old thing.

You got that right. It was a typical Souders sound-bite, complete with J.J. Abrams-like rambling. Instead of 'cool' it's 'epic' or 'dark'.

Or I guess this times it's ghosts.

Except that in J.J.'s case he has a bit more high profile projects under his belt than Kelly does and I find his rants more interesting than hers. LOL. She repeats the same stuff over and over again.
 
I actually liked Mackenzie Gray as the older Lex clone...similar to Rosey's but darker...I say get him back and forget MR. :borg:
 
The more Luthors the better.

Though what I would find amazing is if some of them got super powers by saying the old wizards name aloud with some conviction... Yup... Wow, just thinking about photo shopping Cassidy in Mary Marvels little costume.

By little I mean tiny.

I always liked fat Luthor in the comics compared to the Jim-Fixx Luthor.
 
FAT LUTHOR!!! If they were smart they'd hire Paul Cornell to write the finale. It'd be a great character study about Lex and Clark!!!
