Since we will be without new episodes until Jan 28th 2011...I decided to start a new hiatus thread. :lol:

The Great Smallville Song Mystery
There was a simply awesome song at the end of this week's Smallville. (Episode: Icarus) If you want to skip ahead, check out the link at the bottom for the song. (Beware of SPOILERS)

And frankly, no has a damn clue who sings the song.
No joke, there has been NOTHING turned up. Some people have said it's a Sean Harkness song, except that guy only does crappy instrumentals (no offense), or that it's a song by Anberlin, or Calla. But we've got nothing.

We've even had people bust out their song identifying apps and turned up no results.

So it's entirely possible that it's a sample from a yet to be released song.

But I'm not giving up. I have got to know what song this is.

I thought the song was ok...what interested me more is not only is Zatana considered part of 'the League' but she was present at the 'burial' as well. You can see the back of her head with her long, black hair close up in the foreground during the ceremony and after they get knocked out you see fishnet'd legs at the top of the screen in the background...and they can't be Black Canary's because she's in the main shot.

Yeah I had no idea Zatanna was a vigilante. :lol: This must have happened in Offscreenville. :sigh:
 
It seems reasonable to think that the face shots shown are actors who are able to return in future episodes.

I am a fan of Booster Gold from the comics but it seems a waste of time to do an episode with him at this point. Also a waste of Geoff Johns single writing assignment this season. He introduced Hawkman it would have been nice if he could have written his final episode. Also there is the issue of the hidden JSA members which will never be resolved.

I don't know better, but I don't think it can be much worse.

And that's why. More stuff has happened in Offscreenville this season than the previous nine combined.

It's really left a sour taste in my mouth.
 
I thought the song was Nine Inch Nails, I asked if it was in the episode thread, but nobody responded. I know NIN has a reissue of "Pretty Hate Machine" coming out and it's suposed to have a few new/old tracks or something. I thought it sounded like Trent Reznor, but a little softer voice. IDK.:shrug:
 
I don't know if it is NIN...it kinda sounds like a band called Calla. I really didn't like the song but combined with the scene it was ok.

Yeah, I guess everybody (which now includes Zatana, I suppose) was supposed to be there. Flash, Aquaman, Zatana, and Cyborg weren't really 'there', though.
 
^ Thanks for that insight...Zatanna joining the League is something that obviously has happened off-screen although I swear I remember Clark or Ollie telling her about the League in her appearance two years ago and she said she would think about it. As for the question proposed by Jetfire...I have my doubts that the second half will be better than the first half. No doubt that it will feature good to boderline great episodes just like the first half but in terms of any kind of consistency...they still have the same bunch of writers unfortunately so we can expect the same quality. I'm excited for "Booster" whenever it's finally scheduled.
 
That's cos she wasn't which surprised me. You'd think that Watchtower would be present with the League too...unless of course this means the second part of my Tess theory for this season is gonna start to kick in now :)
 
true... we don't have that information.... how do we know it's zatanna anyway... I've seen that seen a couple if times I didn't recognize her or the back of her head....
