Now that Zod has powers, I predict another "epic" 30 second fight between him and Clark in what will be yet another disappointing season finale.

here we go

10 second build up with Clark and Zod running into each other

Season Premiere- 10 second fight

10 second resolution to last seasons problems

New season problems. Zod who?

;)

Come on now I thought I had a creative take on what could happen is considered a spoiler, and there was no reference to end of season 9 so let's have events unfold.
Also it is true that another season hiatus for a month till April that can't be true.

Signed

Buck Rogers

Clark should have let him die, dissapointed

I was happy for a second that this was the end of the Zod arc, then my hopes were smashed

I loved the hot, half-naked chick in the cryo booth for half the episode. Shouldn't Clark mate with a Kryptonian? I can't believe he doesn't want any super kids.

It has been said, but Clark is a retarded Kryptonian or something. Zod flew after one day! They need to drop the no flights rule. Maybe Clark hit his head when the space ship crashed.

Clark should haved hooked up with that chick like he should have hooked up with Zatanna and that fairy chick from the last episode. Although you would have probably gotten another embarrassing super sex scene.

God... Everyone can fucking fly after getting powers except Clark.

At this point Clark not being able to fly is like a kid not learning how to walk until they're 30.

^

I like the theory that he hit his head when his baby-spaceship crashed.

Seriously, when ARE they really going to deal with this issue? It's truly turning into a liability for the show.

They've kinda dealt with the issue, explaining that Clark has "issues" and thus can't fly, it is a mental thing, he has the ability to, but mentally he is keeping himself grounded for some reason, think of it like a mental block, or just really being hard headed (no pun intended.)

It's stupid, I agree.

Well since there was nothing pressing to watch tonight Olympics wise I decided to give a view and while nothing impressed me about it I thought it was a decent episode. I've skipped so many episodes this season :) This Checkmate subplot has me really intrigued and Amanda Waller will be returning for at least another three episodes (my guess is both episodes leading to the finale) and her tease of "Apokolips" is still ringing in my head. Screw Zod and the Kandorians they're only a warm up for DARKSEID! :)

i always assumed Checkmate was preparing for the Kandorians and that's what she meant by apocalypse. And that's why she got the wheels in motion for the JSA to return to action.

My thoughts as well and as we've discussed in the Absolute Justice thread before it was confirmed by Geoff Johns that the apocalypse she has been preparing for was indeed Apokolips. I can just see season nine ending on a cliffhanger with War World in orbit of Earth and Darkseid himself arriving on the planet and saying "Darkseid IS."

Despite the Ninja Lois nonsense and the show's standard inconsistent use of Kryptonite, I'll give this an average.
