Dear diary,

Smallville was really boring tonight. Glad I got to make wise cracks about it on TrekBBS.

This is a lousy ep. I can't remember being so disappointed in a new Smallville. Everyone was acting out of character. I don't like Tess or Davis, although I do like how they've reimagined Doomsday, esp. in his monstrous form. And Chloe acted like a total fool! I definitely vote "below average" on this ep. I want more Lois! -- RR
I disagree. Sounds like they are just setting up for the season ending cliffhanger.

I just find Tess to be a poor stand-in for Lex. Frankly, I would have introduced Darkseid as Clark's new nemesis, taking form on Earth like his minion Dr. Bedlam, in exile from Apokolips to try and remake Earth into a new Apokolips, using Doomsday as one of his minions. Now, next week's ep looks a bit better, so hopefully, it will be much better than this lackluster, sturm-und-drang ep! -- RR

At least Clark becoming the Red Blue Blur scene was pretty good. I guess we know now what the Superman Suit of Smallville looks like.

Below Average. The Davis storyline continues to be strong, the return of Tess is nice, and Clark is using (some smarts) but that was an absolutely nothing happens episode.

Jimmy, you deserve to be a second choice and Chloe deserves better. As if Jimmy's one to talk...after dumping Chloe for Kara, he dumped her after she lost her memory.

OH my god,..Jimmy Olsen actually has some balls!!

I'm convinced now that Olsen's the 'Smallville veteran' who's going to bite the dust. I think the writing's on the wall.

I don't know, much to your denial ;)...I think that Chloe comes to her senses a little too late to realize she shouldn't have doubted him and ends up being the "veteran".

The only thing that I can offer that might prove both of us wrong is the fact that according to Kryptonsite, ALL of this year's cast, save for Sam Witwer, will be back for Season 9.

So I'm probably wrong about Jimmy and I HOPE that my favorite little blonde manages to make it through yet another round of Smallville: Survivor.

That leaves one other possibility who would fit the 'veteran' role: Ma Kent.

Just a thought.

And let's not forget about his fling with Maxima.

Well I am jumping on the below average wagon with this one. I hope to be on hand for some Terminator action tomorrow hope to see some you all then. TTFN.

^ How would we ever know if it was her though. Smallville seems to forget that politicians do go home every so often...

I voted Clark Kent. Definately some slow moments, but the Doomsday stuff continues to be good. Plus, I've seen worse eps this season.

I'm outta here. See you all next week.

BTW, that was a good promo at the end.

That was my first thought when I read the news on there a couple of weeks ago. It would be a way of garnishing interest in the rest of the season methinks.

You guys and Gals make me laugh, this was one the best well acted, well written episode that I had the pleasure of seeing.

What do you think of few scenes to the end when he sees a emergency on his computer screen and changes in a telephone booth into the Red and Blue Blur to save people in the night.

I liked that because remember the new producers are trying to do less Krypton, and more hints to the hero he'll become at the end of Season 9

Signed

Buck Rogers
