This is a lousy ep. I can't remember being so disappointed in a new Smallville. Everyone was acting out of character. I don't like Tess or Davis, although I do like how they've reimagined Doomsday, esp. in his monstrous form. And Chloe acted like a total fool! I definitely vote "below average" on this ep. I want more Lois! -- RR
I disagree. Sounds like they are just setting up for the season ending cliffhanger.

I just find Tess to be a poor stand-in for Lex. Frankly, I would have introduced Darkseid as Clark's new nemesis, taking form on Earth like his minion Dr. Bedlam, in exile from Apokolips to try and remake Earth into a new Apokolips, using Doomsday as one of his minions. Now, next week's ep looks a bit better, so hopefully, it will be much better than this lackluster, sturm-und-drang ep! -- RR

I know it's kind of gauche to answer one's one post, but I really wish they'd develop a Mr. Miracle show with Darkseid on Earth, as I outlined. Mr. Miracle without the cape, hmm! That would be some spin-off! -- RR

I would have liked to see Dean Cain become the main recurring villian as Vandal Savage, we'd seem him for 18 episodes or so, he'd spend a lot of time in the background, lot's of plots and subterfuge and henchmen, less direct confrontation. This worked well with Brainiac, there were only a couple of direct fights between him and Clark.

I could also get into Metallo in a role like this, where he wore different skins to change his appearance, he could be anyone, would pounce when you least expected, big drawn out battles with Clark that ended in a draw. Metallo would be a lot smarter and again he would have intricate plans. That's kind of necessary to carry a villian for a full season or more.

So Clark gets all dressed in a snappy suit and then carries with him a a dorky highschool back pack?
A lot of people do. I see it all the time.

Jimmy the Dullard is back and is sucking all the life out of Chloe. I think even she's realizing that.
This time I'm on Jimmy's side. Not only is she keeping stuff from him, but it's pretty clear that she's confused. She's still into Clark and would rather help Davis than build a life with Jimmy, but doesn't realize it completely. If she didn't want to marry Jimmy, she shouldn't have. The questions is, why did she do it? I find this whole marriage stuff pretty interesting.

Wow nice ta-ta's on Tess!!!!

Yeah I gotta agree, Miss Teschmacher is lookin' pretty good tonight.
I noticed the Lois Effect too.

Olsen's busted!!
No, that would be Tess. We just went over that. :p

Teschmacher seems pretty tough, I think Clark should bang her and see how well she survives a Kryptonian orgasm.
Something tells me she can handle it.

OK Clark truth or dare time with Tess.
That whole thing was pretty obvious wasn't it?

OH my god,..Jimmy Olsen actually has some balls!!
He always did.

I'm convinced now that Olsen's the 'Smallville veteran' who's going to bite the dust. I think the writing's on the wall.
They can't kill Jimmy. He's part of the Superman mythos.

At least Clark becoming the Red Blue Blur scene was pretty good. I guess we know now what the Superman Suit of Smallville looks like.
He needs a real costume. The shirt and jacket are no substitute.

Wow angsty pop-rock music and angsty montage. Yawn.....

I actually like that song...
"Goodnite, Farewell" by The Killers from a few weeks back was my favorite so far. or at least one of my favorites.
