Pretty good episode.

All in all, I'd agree, but the whole rushed Krypton sequence ruined it for me.

They should've done a cliff-hanger with Clark arriving on Krypton, then taken at least thirty minutes of the next ep to resolve it.

But yeah, pretty decent. In fact, all of the eps following the dreadful 'Hero' have been good shows.

I voted Super. I really liked this episode. Clark's never-ending obsession with Lana and his whining it really annoying me but he was much better in the second half of this episode. I'm sure he'll go back to being the same whining bitch he always was next episode.

Liked the look into the altered future and the stuff with Clark and Lois was good. Disappointed that we saw five second of Krypton...this definitely could have been a two-parter.

I voted 'Average' because of the whole Krypton thing mentioned above, and for not seeing Jon Kent return.

Lex as President was good, I wonder if that will be touched upon at a later point in 'this' reality.

See you guys next week, only two more eps remain.

Eh, Average, what we saw in the alternate universe was great, unfortuntely that's not what we will get in the real world, so it was just a tease of what could have been greatness for this series. 5 minutes of Krypton, bah, resolved way to quickly. Needed to be a 2 parter.

A solid A+. It was not edge of the seat but definitely entertaining! And Kara in that thin sleepwear is too hot to bear.

Dammit!

Severe weather in the area meant that the local news station that runs the CW Affiliate ran weather updates over the bulk of Smallville tonight. So, unless they rerun it later tonight or something, I'll have to catch this one when it reairs or on DVD (most likely case). Damn!

This looked to be a good one too!

:(

I know this isn't news but for some reason it was really bothering me tonight. Clark Kent is such a wishy-washy namby-pamby I just can't stand it. I can't imagine what would turn him into Superman as we know him. Apparently, he's not faster than a speeding bullet either.

Sorry for all the negativity but I guess it didn't help that we got a rather uninspired "It's a Wonderful Life" episode that didn't help my mind wander enough to not think about it.

We've seen him move faster than a speeding bullet on countless occasions.

As for your first point, Clark is still only 21, 22? So he's still young yet and has some maturing to do.

I actually found this episode mildly entertaining.

I just don't understand why they don't go ahead and put Lois and Clark together. At this point, what's the big deal?

And Bobby P. next week was a very pleasant surprise!!

People,

I voted Super, despite the rushed ending. I enjoyed this ep's take on both "It's A Wonderful Life," and "Back to the Future, Part II," showing the brutal dystopia of a U.S. ruled by a power-mad Lex, and misled by Brainiac/Fine. Also reminded me a bit of the old Superman story, "Must There Be A Superman." And Lex firing the nuclear missiles also reminded me of The Dead Zone. The ending? Meh! But we'll see how it pans out by next week.

Red Ranger

It was just explained.

He was a hero during the second meteor shower which got him the ability to run for office because he was a national hero. Pretty much the same way he became President in the comics as well - he was instrumental in the rebuilding of Gotham City following No Man's Land.

Okaaaaaaay, being a national hero means you don't have to be 35 to run for election?

Or is this just one of those things we really aren't supposed to think about?

Seeing that Lois is established and has a Pulitzer I would assume this is 5-10 years later.

I knew I shouldn't have expected the first visit to krypton to be as monumental as Welling meeting Reeve. Basically Smallville did things it's own way.

Theres something about seeing Kara drinking milk at night in her PJ's.................

I liked it. At least the Alt-Universe stuff. It really felt like a Superman show. I liked it and I could fully buy into Welling playing Superman and Durance as Lois Lane.

The Krypton stuff blew, I thought. Also, the whole time travel stuff MADE NO SENSE. If Braniac and Kara went back, shouldn't have time changed right then and there and shouldn't Clark not known that there was a change (such as the new additions in Swan's book). Also, why did Braniac need Kara to go back with him? Wouldn't he know that this would be a problem? Also, how come Kara didn't get Jor-El or Lara or ANY OTHER KRYPTONIAN that would still be around? Interesting that no one from the House of El was there to launch Baby Clark.

Seeing that Lois is established and has a Pulitzer I would assume this is 5-10 years later.

Which makes things even creepier as Lois is 5-10 years older than Clark, yet making googly eyes at him.
