Next week on Smallville, a gopher ruins Oliver's favorite golf course, so he uses every weapon at his disposal to eliminate the problem.

Actually, no one in Smallville's demographic would get that. Have they already had an episode where they go inside someone's dreams? Or maybe they will find themselves in the middle of a war between sparking vampires and shapeshifting wolves.

So far, about the only movie they haven't ripped off is Superman. I think that's about the only one that's safe.

They have in bits and pieces, but that is the one movie that should be riped off, if you have to rip something off.

Even though it was a big rip off, I did like how Chloe mentioned meeting Batman and Wonder Woman. Instead of ripping off movies maybe they should do a show where Bruce Wayne shows up to Smallville and Clark meets him.

Yeah, since when did Metropolis have casinos, Elvis impersonators, and all-night wedding chapels? Wouldn't it have been easier just to set the ep in Vegas?

And when did Tess become just one of the girls? I feel sorry for the poor actress. Her head must be spinning trying to maintain some sort of consistent character.

"Okay, so last week, I tried to poison my adopted 'son' and this week I'm doing cute karoake scenes and fooling around Gaeta? What the heck?"

Well, why set the episode in Vegas? I mean they didn't want to completely rip off The Hangover. ;)

I can buy them having casinos Kansas City Missouri has casinos (though Missouri law means they can only be on the river and casinos are a lot tougher issue on the Kansas side of things, where Metropolis is) but the instant-wedding chapels and Elvis impersonators is a bit too much.

Yeah, it jarring having Tess being friends with everyone.

Metropolis seems to have every environment. Just like in Friday Night Lights were Dillon, Texas suddenly sprouted a ghetto.

Ya know, instead of that smarmy ending, I think it would have been better to just have shown Chloe walking off into the dark on her own, and with the last shot have her whip out her uber blackberry thing and say something like "Connect me to Pennyworth."

It would have been awesome and probably avoid any embargo issues.

That really was embarrassing to watch.

But I guess if it's your last season, you have no desire and no incentive to continue as a franchise, you never cared about the franchise to begin with, and everyone's getting paid regardless of what crap they vomit onto the screen, why not do things that you'll have fun doing yourself, audience be damned?

Seems that's mostly what we're getting.

A true shame to have such a good show fizzle out like this. And they said clark will be getting closer to his Superman destiny? Right. :rolleyes:

I hope not--especially after they made a big deal of him being marked with Darkseid's omega symbol.

Justin has a 17 or 18 episode deal or something this season so I'm guessing he'll be back for the finale.

Yeah Justin & Cassidy have 17 eps and Justin has done more than Cass by this point...he still has a few more eps to go.

He'll probably drop off Chloe at Star City and come back when things are complete in Metropolis.

I could see a finale scene with Oliver/Hartley giving some last words to Clark in Oliver's office and then they part.


I just hope they don't drop some lame thing like Chloe(offscreen) telling Oliver she's expecting a baby.
