Sorry for disappearing at the end although I did watch the rest of the episode. Loved the Chloe stuff at the end...she had a good series of scenes there. It's just a shame that her last episode was one of the worst episodes of Smallville in history. That was just plain embarrassing.

I will say I'm glad Emil is a recurring character on the show.

Re: Smallville: 10x15 "The Hang...", er, "Fortune" - Discussion & Spoi

Batman and WW. Were inspired by Chloe?

You know what I'm thinking? Batman had a threeway with Chloe and Wonder Woman! :techman:

Well, I have my masturbation fuel for the evening. And I get to play Batman in it!

Just don't think of Oliver in a showgirl outfit. That equals boner killer.

Seriously, I think Oliver spent more time in that showgirl outfit than he has as Green Arrow this season.

Re: Smallville: 10x15 "The Hang...", er, "Fortune" - Discussion & Spoi

Ok, I expected this to suck, but it was actually a really fun episode, once you got past the fact that it's a rip-off. Let's face it, the Hangover was such a great movie, that Smallville ripping it off equals a better Smallville than their usual fare.

Re: Smallville: 10x15 "The Hang...", er, "Fortune" - Discussion & Spoi

They should have named the monkey Gleek.

I will say the music in this episode was okay. Don't think this episode is going to boost their numbers any.

I'm talking bout Gleek, the Wonder Twins' monkey.

I'm not sure why I quoted you on this, I knew what you meant. When I post replies in this thread I tend to just hit the "quote" button of the post I'm on instead of scrolling down to the "reply" button, editing out the "quoted" post. This time I obviously forgot the latter step of that process.

My post was a response to the "Buy the [weekly band] CD at CW.com!" advertisement at the end of the episode. The music was pretty good in it (the faux-Elvis stuff) but I don't think this episode was a great promotional tool for the band's work.

I'm surprised to see that almost all the votes are for the "terrible" option, yet at the same time I'm not surprised.

I voted "good" for two reasons...

1) I loved the Bruce Wayne and Wonder Woman reference. I loved it so much I hit rewind and watched it again.

2) Not a good final episode for Chloe, but her final moments seemed fitting and poignant. It was a good sendoff.

Bad rip-off of The Hangover already.
I've yet to see The Hangover, but I could tell that this was a bad imitation.

And where did that fuckin' lemur come from? Is he supposed to be sitting in for Mike Tyson's tiger?
That lemur was pretty funny. Looked like a cartoon character at first. You know, like when they mix those CGI caricatures with live action? That's what I thought it was for half a second.

If Clark was drunk and 'consumated', he probably would've ruptured all of Chlo's major organs with the, ah, consumate material.
After they woke up, I was thinking of everything he and Chloe might have done together and what impact his powers would have had on what went down. Pun intended.

Clark is already not wearing his glasses. Way to hide your special identity, douche.
I totally forgot that he was supposed to be wearing glasses. No surprise though that they hit the reset button so soon. Guess we were right when we called it last week.

Tess looks hot dressed like a gogo girl.
Yeah, that look suits her.

Also, it was kind of weird seeing her chum around with everyone. Isn't she the bad guy? I wonder how they would have worked Lex into the mix if Rosenbaum were still on the show.

I wonder if that's Emil's real voice. He is a Guiliard trained singer.
Probably. They either wanted to make use of his singing or he lobbied to get a singing appearance put in.

I thought superman couldn't get drunk?
Zatanna put a spell on the champagne so that it would work on Clark.

Oh man, most desperate drag scene ever.
Yeah, that was bad and totally pointless. What was the point of it?

And when did Metropolis get a Vegas-ian district?
I was thinking the same thing. Whatever the plot needs I guess.

This guy looks like a cross between Ben Kingsley and Terry O'Quinn
I was thinking Terry O'Quinn myself.

Seriously, I think Oliver spent more time in that showgirl outfit than he has as Green Arrow this season.

I was thinking something similar... Ollie is just "there" this season, moping around for whatever reason. No Green Arrow, no real purpose.

Ok, I thought you maybe thought I was talking about Glee. Yeah the music was good. Emilvis' song was awsome. Despite my vote of terrible, I liked the episode as far as the antics go. I voted terrible for the unoriginality of the episode as it was a complete and blatent rip off of The Hangover. That is the writers fault though. The other reason I voted the way I did was because it bieng Chloe's last episode. While I'm not the huge Chloe fan as everyone else, I think she deserved a better send off. I think it's likely she will be in the finale though.

One thing I noticed in watching these type of episodes is that Tom Welling is a good actor when he's not playing Mr. Serious, Clark. Clark may be serious, but my god, they go over the top with it. Again, I blame the writers for that, not Welling.

Re: Smallville: 10x15 "The Hang...", er, "Fortune" - Discussion & Spoi

Comic book Clark doesn't wear glasses when hanging out with people who know his true identity. Of course, they did go out on the town though. Drunk Clark clumsily pulling off glasses for a save in plain view could've been funny. Anyway, there's still next week.

Re: Smallville: 10x15 "The Hang...", er, "Fortune" - Discussion & Spoi

I kept expecting the lemur to talk like the one in Madagasscar. All in all I fast forwarded through most of it. Just to silly and time wasting for me to handle.

Re: Smallville: 10x15 "The Hang...", er, "Fortune" - Discussion & Spoi

Wow so far we have had the Smallville version of "The Matrix", "Date Night" and now "The Hangover" I wonder what they will rip off next week?

This season not only jumped the shark, but got ate in a feeding frenzy by them.

Re: Smallville: 10x15 "The Hang...", er, "Fortune" - Discussion & Spoi

I only voted "Terrible" on this because of the shameless, blatant, rip-off of "The Hangover." Yeah The Hangover wasn't the first bachelor-party antics movie but there's a lot of stuff sort of unique to it that Smallville obviously ripped off here. (The missing time between the night before and the day after, the drunk camera wake-up scene, the animal inexplicably in the room, the night's antics leading to stealing something valuable to a crime-lord, the discovery of a camera documenting the night's antics.) There's just a lot ripping things off from "The Hangover" pretty much directly.

The episode would have been just "Okay" if it wasn't such a complete rip-off. The only thing missing was a hirsute dim character.

Next week on Smallville, a gopher ruins Oliver's favorite golf course, so he uses every weapon at his disposal to eliminate the problem.

Actually, no one in Smallville's demographic would get that. Have they already had an episode where they go inside someone's dreams? Or maybe they will find themselves in the middle of a war between sparking vampires and shapeshifting wolves.

I got the reference, and I think that's hilarious! Don't give Kelly and Brian any more bright ideas.

So far, about the only movie they haven't ripped off is Superman. I think that's about the only one that's safe.
