I still can't get over putting the VRA military personnel in Nazi uniforms. It has to be the growing influence of Darkseid because otherwise, that is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen on this show and this show has had an unlimited amount of ridiculous things on it.

Part of my problem with this season overall is the fact that Darkseid has yet to be given a face, per se. In Season 8, we knew who Doomsday was from the start, and Season 9 gave us Zod from the beginning.

This is more nebulous, with the 'bad guy' being this ambiguous 'darkness', and enemy that we really haven't seen as a physical person... Just an ephemeral entity with an agenda, similar to the Shadowen in Terry Brooks' Heritage of Shannara series,

I loved Cat Grant Pro.

This was better than I expected.

Cat is super cute so her presence is always welcome on my TV screen. Although the character is annoying and the way she changed her beliefs in such short order is ridiculous.

I still don't like the look they chose for Black Canary. At least they had her hair down this time, but that mask is pretty stupid. Not happy at all.

Agree with you on all three counts, DP. It's a shame that the entire JL couldn't be onhand for the funeral, but I suppose that the PSW doesn't want to put all their eggs in one basket. I'm guessing that will occur in the finale... Hopefully.

It does look like Proc that Flash (I refuse to call him Impulse) was at the funeral. It looked to be a stand-in. That reminds me of one of the last scenes in TPM. Lucas filmed a pick-up shot of Palpatine and the Jedi Council arriving on Naboo after the battle was over. Mace Windu can be seen in the background and it's so very clear it's a stand-in and not Samuel L. Jackson.

Does anyone else think the proposal was lame? I know some goose stepping Clois shippers thought it was awesome but compared to how others have been done it was lame...and his reveal of his secret at the end of Isis was lame...the writers must be smoking crack.

Well I ended up falling asleep before the West Coast feed so I'm going to have to watch "Icarus" during the weekend. I guess there were hints of Carters resurrection? I'm not surprised that Clark's proposed was gonna be lame...this is Smallville after all. @Buck Rogers yes "Smallville" is on winter hiatus now and will return on Jan 28th with "Collateral". I see a screen cap with Chloe wearing all white in what looks like a dream like haze on Smallville Wiki. K-Site probably has the same pic.

There was a scene in Icarus of Chloe & Lois talking...like a flash back but it was unused footage from Lazarus...at least Chloe was in the ep.

Yeah I just read the full recap on Smallville wiki and watched the last ten minutes of the episode I don't feel like watching the entire episode now. Interesting cliffhanger and it was nice to see Zee there...and J'onn.

Wow they really go all out on S'vlle wiki I just took a glance for Icarus.

Hawkman save is one of the most epic ones I have seen on the show...hopefully they can top it with Clark as Superman.

I wonder if they will have Michael Shanks back now...it seems like they are setting up for a return and the report that this would be his last episode was just a misdirection which is totally promised. We were also promised Hawkgirl (not just Sheyera) so I'm guessing they'll both be back in their next incarnation without an explanation for how they found each other again in typical Smallville style...and yeah the folks who maintain Smallville Wiki (I think there are a couple people from K-Site) do a really great job at recapping episodes.

Unfortunately Clark isn't any closer to becoming Superman or flying. They got 11 eps to make things right and clean up the mess of the first half of S10 and end the series properly...I don't think they can do it.

I have a fear that the final four episodes are going to be grouped together in one mega final arc that will hopefully feature Clark finally becoming Superman. May is going to be one interesting month next year.

These first 6 eps of the new year will be iffy. Hopefully the final 5 will be strong but I doubt it...it will be the usual sloppy SMALLVILLE mess.

You what's funny...you'd think that Ollie and Clark would be busting their ass using Watchtowers resources trying to find her. Didn't Peterson say that one of Ollie's arcs was to search for Chloe? Instead he's kind of just accepted that she's gone.

I've wondered about that myself. Even though it's evident that she doesn't WANT to be found, you'd think her best friend and the guy who's been doing her would be searching for her at every opportunity.
