Who cares if it is terrorism or not. Right now I am more worried about the people in the building... one of which posts here. I just can't remember which building they work in right now and I am more than a bit nervous about it.

Does that put a face on this for you or are we going to keep bitching about a label?

And speaking as someone who lives about 2 miles from that building, drives past it on her way home from Target and Barnes and Noble and had some F16s flying over her goddamned house today, I don't care why he did it. All I care about are the people whose lives he put into danger today who didn't do anything to him in the first place.

My last calender day was Jan 31st. I stopped showing up for work Jan 4th cause of leave I'd saved up.

And my building was downtown on 7th street. This building is northwest of downtown. The FBI and IRS are leasing part of it.

I just found out that one of my friends works for the IRS and works there. He's fine, thank GOD.

Reminds me of the story...what? 10 years ago? 9 years ago, where a guy I knew, his dad went insane, killed his ex-wife, killed the guy's brother and I think tried to kill his cousin and the guy. Didn't succeed but he did burn down the house.

Oh, I'm great. I was working at 7th and Trinity, but I quit that shitty job with the state in Jan. Now I live at home and I'm studying for my real estate license.

I have to go to the pet store and Target to get some cat bath supplies today. I'm either going to try to get to the Petco and Target by the Arboretum or go the easy way and go to the Ohlen Rd one cause Fatty Mc Prissy Pants needs a bath.

If anyone tries to use this as an excuse not to allow or give real thought to real, non-loony, non-violent political dissent, that will say more about them than about anyone else!

It is Obama's fault. The pilot was pissed off about Bush policies and Obama has done little or nothing to reverse them. He was pissed off about the IRS and his tax rates while Obama is just increasing them. He knew he wouldn't be labeled a terrorist because Obama doesn't like to use the word "terrorist". The election of Obama was the guy's last ray of hope, and like many others he felt he had to express his rage in a way that somebody would notice. Most people like that just post on TrekBBS, but he apparently did not, leaving him no outlet for his pent up emotions.

Anyway, note the original post--it immediately attacks what the OP referred to as "teabaggers" as though the tea-party protesters must be backing this sort of attack. Like I said, if this were an Islamist terror attack, we'd see people immediately pointing out that Islam does not condone this, etc., and we can't paint all Muslims with the same brush. But the OP does the same thing to the tea-party protesters and is not called on it. That's where I make the observation of a double standard.
